Xbox 360 as Windows Media Extender - Video Review

I followed all the steps, got the WMC on the tv screen, but it didn't do anything past that. Went through the process twice, with same results.

I have slow internet service, but wtf. If I can watch something on my computer, why wont it put it on the tv screen???

Its not really a review.. He was complaining about things that were inherently his own fault, like the labeling of videos within the extender... he named them hiself, so why is he complaining about them..

Actually - this is review.

The complaint is that the extender ONLY shows the thumbnails of each video, and the names/lables of the videos only appear when you highlight the thumbnail. But what if i have 20 or 30 videos that i want to browse, i cant just see the labels and go straight to the one i want.

I would have to highlight each and very thumbnail to see what's there. Which IMHO is alittle ridiculous.

Not sure. Ive always used the remote control that cam with my xbox (early adopter), but im sure the navigation should work with a regular controller.

yours seems to move pretty fast. I am having alot of lag on xbox surfing through my menus. any idea why?

hmmm... not sure. maybe its trying to read the files and render the thumbnails from your desktop. Maybe itll spead up as you use it more and cache the file info.
