Geoff C would most likely be Geoff Cole who played trombone with Ken on many occasions..Some great stories of ken At the 100 club he told a bbc man 'you never play any of my stuff'.

The man said 'But your jazz is too long'.

'I stop playing when i've said all I want to say ' was Ken's reply

@4realexpat Could well be Geoff Cole, it does ring a bell, I remember when he got the tape and played it many times. Being primary school age, I preferred the songs and know the lyrics of The Grey Goose, No Letters Today and Midnight Special, off by heart to this day!

Thank you for uploading! Even with the sound loss, it is still great to hear Ken and his band! There are some fantastic uploads of Ken and Bands by others, however I think all uploads help!

Thanks again Rob, this is another one that I got to like only recently playing Dad's tapes. I guess I'm not much help with Ken's music names! I do know now these are all available on CD, so the recordings aren't rare at all! I went to the Thames Hotel myself a few times, alas I never saw him, though I recall Jazz/Skiffle being played there. It turned into a kid's pub 'The Streets Of London' It's now a restaurant, Zizi's. The ship by the way is called The British Hussar, wonder if it was Ken's?

Thanks for posting this, but it isn't Hindustan recorded by Ken at the Thames Hotel in 1970; it's Goin' Home recorded by Ken in London in 1953.
