  • What's the difference between a tesla coil abd a tesla magnifier?

  • great job!! are those capacitors the 37667 series? i have one that i intend to use for a dc resonant charging tesla coil, i think 35kv is a little low for dc resonant charging, firing voltage being 24kv give or take. the voltage reversal rating is only 15% on these capacitors so im thinking of saving up for another one to put in series and not being able to obtain 3 more ill have to live with 15nf instead of 30nf, how do you obtain such arcs with only 15nf?? is this the purpose of the magnifier?.

  • love the theme music goes well

  • amazing.

love the sign on the wall "shelter"

  • The color and clarity of the arcs shows the perfection of capacitance and inductance....Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

  • Amazing. I'm not even going to ask where you got that power company transformer. I didn't notice what you were using for your disruptive discharge capacitors.

  • @teslacult Two .030uF 35kV Maxwell Pulse Discharge Capacitors arranged in series providing .015uF of capacitance. The transformer was purchased new in 2004 from Solomon Corporation in Kansas. Its been quite the workhorse!

  • @clagwell have you considered using something like a rotary gap or comutator to control frequency?

  • thats just amazing!

  • Mean and Nasty! Just the way I like them. That's a lot of top load. I hope nothing in your shop got killed from those bolts.
