What I would pay to hear Gheorghiu sing like this again. She was very moving in La rondine at the Met this season, but quite disappointing when I saw her recently in L'elisir. Seems like the voice is shrinking.

I don't speak Ialian so when I first heard this I just heard the mysic - and lkoved it. But then when I actually saw the translation and saw what the words meant, I fell in love with it all over again. It's really poetic, in words as well as music!
