I actually met Charlie Williams when he came to my home town (Pocklington), It was like greeting Yorkshire royalty, the town was packed!! I was only about 4-5 yrs old at the time!!!!
Jeez I'd forgotten how unsuited Charlie Williams was for this show - right out of his depth - all over the place. Thank heaven they had the sense to get Bob Monkhouse back
What happened to that woman that Charlie pulled out of the audience? She looked genuinely distressed after seeing that mouse. What did they do with her?
This is brilliant! I remember Charlie Williams presenting Golden Shot, I was only 6 at the time, so I only vaguely remember it. My late partner, Neil actually met Charlie in a pub in Spalding back in the '70's. Neil, was also from Yorkshire, Charlie was a good Barnsley lad.
We loved Charlie in our household - in fact I think everyone from Yorkshire loved him! And around the nation. Nice to hear someone who didn't mind being himself. A change from the very fake Michael Parkinson who was also from Barnsley. Great clip.
@seancuthbert i would like to, but haven't got the time to cap and upload whole shows, already have a backlog of allsorts of things to upload - i like to keep a variety of stuff on here!

@Feisty1967 lol, do you want to get rid of any? i've had to put comment approval on this clip due to spam, if that's anything to do with it.

It's a scandal as to what has happened to those studios.
ITV plc cast them aside like rubbish.

A bit sad in retrospect at 4.40 charlie not remembering 'easter eggs' given his dementia in later life
