@SoundAboutRight We LOVE it... although we only really use it on 200+ person shows. I think the more important matter is, it produces a ton of TIGHT & CLEAN bass. Not muddy at all. If QSC had made a 1x18 and a 12" standard top in their Wideline series (a new 'series' above the KW, we would have gone that route in a heartbeat)... though when we cross 40Hz and below to the GP218 and the rest to our new KS Audio Session3 system.... Magic happens.
@bostoncommonband That's great, this is the route I would take to sub a 200-500 person house of worship. I would most likely use a PL380, wide open briged-mono, behind a drive rack to run it. They seem to be made for each other (5kw and 4ohm nominal). The subs we currently have are made out of 3/4 particle board and not the laminated birch like the GP. They are a not as tight and punchy as I would like, especially for kick.
@SoundAboutRight You should likely run a PL340 if your going to bridge-mono into a single GP218. A PL380 could quite effectively power (2) GP218's in stereo. - No joke.
Finally got a good view of your GP218. For the amount of bass it produces, it has an incredibly low profile. How do you guys like it?
