Something i dont like in Oblivion is that the slaughterfish doesnt turn to you when you are above him, he just swims in front left right or back direction till he gets you

u find the giant slaughter fish in the cave place in the thievs gulid quest exaction arrow or somthing like that there is this under water cave and it is right there

It's an easy kill too as long as you have water-breathing. I beleive I got the helm of the Atronah which gave me 60% resistance to fire lightening and ice magic. It was worth about 19,000 gold

i killed it when i was doing some quest from the theives guild

There's actually two ways to find this. The easiest way is to go from the Niben Bay. On your map it's right above the "Y" in "Bay." The other way is through the thieves guild quest, "The arrow of extrication." When you get to the wizard's grotto there's a place with a buncha slaughterfish. Dive to the bottom and the giant slaughterfish shuold be there. Oh, and by the way, it doesn't respawn there if killed.

I believe I found the Boots of the Atronach on the carcass of that fish... good stuff, gives you 40 resistance to lightning, fire and frost. But the worst danger down in that watery grave was not the enemy itself, but the lack of air!

It's in one of the thieves guild quests and you just swim down this hole. It's not hard to find.
