i think this is the best song lyric wise that waylon ever wrote. i read about it in his autobiography and then i had to hear it. aaaaaaand of course i was blown away. what a great outlook, man i wish he was still around.
i thought i had heared all of waylons sogs but this is one i missed somehow man i love it thanks for posting rip waylon love your musis and you as a person your great
waylon says this is the best song he ever wrote...saying people seem to be gravitating more toward religion than ever before..."spirituality is where it's at"
"In my own way i´m a beliver, but not in voices i cannot hear" true so true! When I tell people that i belive in God, but not the same way as the christians do, and they ask me how i mean, I just tell them to listen to this song, because it explains it all.
As someone who belongs to no organized religion, I agree with a great deal of what Waylon has to say in this song. Truly one of the greats of country music, up there with Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson.
I don't think any of the professional godmeisters--I don't care if it's Pat Dobson, Mike Hucklebee or the Pope--know any more about it or could tell it any better than Waylon Jennings did right here.
What powerful words and set to such a sweet melody. A great combination. I should have known Waylon wrote this! Thanks for the info.I will check out that album!
I have been looking for something like this for myspace name. This is fantastic. I remember his last concert I attended it I believe I have every song he ever did. Thank you Lavender

Unbelievable this song...
It's meaning goes far beyond anything I have ever heard, seen or felt.
I believe I will never come across a soul better capable of explaining God to me than Waylon does right here...

Waylon had a great way with words. I personally feel he was the greatest voice and talent in country music.
