@mrtamnus1 of course they would say that; most of them were still in diapers when MJ was kicking ass. There's a ton of reasons why MJ dominates Kobe, but my main one is this: MJ would never have allowed the Bulls to get blown out to lose a playoff series like Kobe did in the 2004 and 2006 finals.
skill and talent wise, it's pretty close, but MJ blows Kobe out of the water in terms of mental toughness and leadership.

Pippen did have talent (although if he didn't do so well in pre-draft camps he wouldn't have been drafted cuz he played at a really small school), but if MJ didn't push him every day in practice, he'd be a major underachiever. Yeah, Rodman played with passion, but you never knew what you were getting with him daily, whether he'd be focused or still off in La-La Land.

If it wasn't for that "insecurity" or whatever it was, he would have been another Lebron James. Tons of athletic ability, but too complacent to improve and push his game to the highest level.
