I served in the US military for 10 years and I believed in what was doing... when I got out in 95, after the first gulf war, I looked around at all the apathy, ignorance and xenophobia most Americans had and I started to questioning the worth of serving a people who simply don't care or have absolutely no understanding of their place in the world.
