Extra thing - "Power does what it wants." Great sad-but-true nutshell statement. Hard to break that down any further or more universal. Plus, I'm not sure if anyone knows this, but I think this is his last TV appearance (outside his final HBO show) before he died. KO ran it as part of his announcement/tribute section on his death. To paraphrase what Jon Stewart said about George, he may be gone, but he's fortunately left us with hours and hours of videotape. It still rings true, and still will.

Great clip. My favorite non-fake newsman together with my favorite comedian. Though it's great that Olbermann throws out otherwise small, "huh-that's-weird" news (except for the wiretapping thing, of course), and Carlin turns the focus on the deeper point that most other people don't see.
