The first time I found this track I said "HOLY SHIT" Depeche Mode totally ripped off Coil for that bass line in Behind the Wheel! The names are even similar!

That's a great song. I always wondered if it had anything in common with La Cité des enfants perdus (The City of Lost Children) movie. There was a sailor that had a map to the platform among the mines tattooed on his head. Or Vidocq, where Vidocq's assistant had a gecko tattooed near the eye. He had also a round staple on his hat. It is strange, because when the alchemist is killed, the hat with staple is on his grave.

As a Coil fan, I should give you '-', but as a randomly beaten person - I wont.

Anyway, check the gun shooting part - it looks like the painting of archangel Michael wielding sword (from Golden Dawn org site). So it seams that Coil do those things in both directions, but I can't say why, or eve if they really do so. Maybe they want them to make mistakes and plunge themselves totally. Or they are only bluffing for me as the audience. Or maybe both of those things are true, and they provoke.
