I enjoy the way you introduce us into an artist, only trough a song, Dear Eileen. Listen this famous song watching old photographs brings some nostalgy and so much pleasure.
Donington Park 1984, I remember Gary holding down that looooong! note for i dunno how long, Shivers down my spine even now! Farewell old friend, another genius gone. Thanks for the memories.
Gostei muito do vídeo, a acompanhar uma grande música que me faz lembrar Verões da minha juventude, quando o meu irmão mais velho me introduziu a Gary Moore! Obrigada!
Oh the wonderful photos of Paris. All these personalities who made Paris. The hectic life of the artist to " Saint Germain des Près " very fashionable district. The beautiful music of the big Gary Moore to adorn all this. Which good moment you offer us there. I like enormously. One thousand bravo Eileen for your gift of narrator.
I love that song and hes a great artist, , i love all those pictures wich made me think that it wd be so wonderful to be in those walkways as well,, Happy holidays Eileen and God bless, wonderful vid as all your works !!!
He´s Irish, just so you (don´t) know, which I´m sure you do because you´re American. Do you know what´s the best part of a conversation between an Irishman and a Scottish? The death threats. Okay I´m leaving you now. Take good care Eillen, one (white) kiss to you. Be well please. At all times. Merry snowy almost Christmas December to you.
Each time I publish a comment the music restarts, lol. Does this mean something, you think? I think it does not but who knows. Eileen, do you know Boston? Does "Cheers" still exists? Are the "Celtics" doing okay? I love the Celtis very much you know. I don´t know them but I like them, on the fact of them being white and green. And Sporting is white and green. Eileen ... white and green is also a very powerful combination. Ask the Irish they´ll tell you.
Forgot mentioning: this past night and this morning it snowed for the very first time here, this year. Here, because up North it´s been snowing heavily in some parts for the last few weeks. Do you know what his means? I´ll tell you: it means thtat today I´m leaving you a white kiss. Your song is blue, but the morning´s been white so, blue and white comes to white, with tones of blue but white nonetheless. Because snow is quite powerful. Nature´s will, not mine ...
This tells a lot about people. What drives them into something, and their lack of ability to recognize beauty. Beauty isn´t subjective as many people state, there´s no such thing: there are things that are pretty. And there are things that quite simple aren´t pretty. In music and in everything, I suppose.
Eileen ... did you notice as well that all the best musicians / composers that ever were manage to bless us with apparently simple and clean songs. Chico Buarque, John Lennon, Leonard Cohen, Mark Knopfler, Sir Paul McCartney, Johnny Cash and many others. All simple and beautiful, the things they did or do are never messy, when these days - in music especially - it looks as if everything is turned the other way around.
Did not know this fine song Eileen. Thank you so much for sharing. It reminds me of Mark Knopfler, and I love these "ways" very much. Isn´t it obvious that good music drives from talent alone? No need for sophisticated instruments, sounds, bands, lights, confusion ... mind senses stressing annoyingly loud unrythmic ugly confusion mostly. No need for screams, tones, notes, schools and/or formulas of "expertise". Only talent, one or 2 instruments, a very fine song and fine lyrics. That´s all.
@likekinds there was much more to Gary's repetoire than this he could play most things, you might like black rose by thin lizzy with gary, check it out.
The popular artist in the US were always my favorites until YT introduced me so many missed recordings of other countries.Commercial radio would only play the most popular music to gain sponsorship. This caused me to miss a lot of great artist. Gary Moore is another great blues guitarist I missed . Thank you for sharing and of course you video is of great quality.
@appapo3 Thanks for the comment, Brian. I feel as you do in many ways. My knowledge of music has expanded so much. I thought I knew a fair amount and it turns out I knew very little. :-))
