Chelmsford Essex UFO sighting! 18.04.2009

I live in Chelmsford and a few years ago I was walking along parkway towards the viaduct and it was twighlight. I looked up and way past the street lights in the sky was a solid square light just gliding across the sky. It was quite big too... To this day, I'd love to know what it was. It definitely wasn't a satelite, it was either way too big or way too close.

I live in Lawn Lane, around about that time, me and my mates used to let off a lot of paper lanterns. I think you're looking at a couple of lanterns.

i see them all the time in baddow. once i saw some small lanterns in the sky in writtle which most people think they are, but sometimes they are much bigger than lanterns and would need air traffic control permission. 2 weeks ago i was in bed yeah and i saw a small thing fly past slowly, with no flashing lights, then it split into 2 lights. i leant forwards and thought maybe it was wing lights then it disappeared and another massive light glided into view and stayed there all night

there satelites you will see them every nite if you look hard enough. they appear to travel at different speeds depending on how far out of our atmosphere they are, there are hundreds of the little buggers flyin about watchin us

They are Lanterns they are let off at least once a week near the shops on Gloucester Avenue.

i used to live near chelmsford. i used to see stuff like that at night out in the countryside quite a bit.

i remember those lights changing colour and just thought it was my eyes to be honest.

i just got used to them cos after a week or so because i just couldn't work out what they were and after a few weeks seeing them in the same spot i got bored of them.

i'm glad someone else has seen them other than me and my stoner mates!

we saw that i live in manningtree neer colchester in essex and we saw these exact same time we recorded to its sooo weired! cause they looked like little flickers of fire but you couldnt hear anything or see anythink other than the light.

most people reckon its lanterns, it might look like it in the video but trust in real life it looks like 2 ufos. they were moving pretty fast aswell, by the time i stopped recording, turned my car round, they flew into the distance and disappeared...

Hey whasup guys, i live in southend which is pretty close to chelmsford. Anyways i saw something last night i ahve never seen before in my life. It was like an Red/Orangle circle just floating in the sky. Then i saw something behind it which looked like a saucer. But that could off been easily mistaken but still they were pretty low.

I saw something exactly the same except it was just a single orangy glow which flickered and moved across the sky. I saw this in chelmsford 3/5/09
