this is awesome. I know where you are coming from and this is so true of what firefighters think when we are enjoying some down time. No matter where you work or volunteer the stories are all so familiar. Keep up the good work.
Its called humor-- if u have bug up your ass, relax. All jobs-- police, fire, solider, trashman, hamburger flipper, executive ....everybody likes to blow a little steam and poke a little fun. Everyone except you, I guess. Regardless, thanks for watching.

Oh! Poor poor firefighters. Cry to your Union! Heaven forbid you have to do some civil service here and there! With the $ you bastards get paid, you shouldn't cry so much about having to do some simple civil chores. Firefighters make me sick!!! The rural firefighters ride on the big city firefighters coat tails! The only honorable firefighters are the ones employed by big cities, and they too have a bad attitude!
what does emergency/non-emergency calls have to do with paid/volunteer? you obviously haven't talked to any volunteer paramedics or firefighters about this, the sentiment is exactly the same.
ha ha... you must be one of those looser guys that couldn't make it through the academy so figure this is your next best release. Shit or get off the pot!
That's right, the money we get paid. Most firefighters in my area get paid around $10 per hour and work 50-70 hours per week just to pay the bills. Sure, some of the union FF make "big money" (around 45K in my area) but they represent about 20% of the workforce in my area. Oh, yeah, and that includes the "big city" guys running 8-10 thousand calls per year. Get a clue or get over the fact that you are still pissed that you couldn't do our job if you wanted to.
Oryegon, I don't know what your problem is. Yes, Firefighters/Police/EMS have a job to do. HOWEVER....the above mentioned scenarios are not our job. Usually, when we respond to ridiculous calls, we laugh it off. But think about it. What happens when a real emergency happens and the service/services needed are tied up on the other side of the "area" with one of the above-mentioned "emergencies." So now, the real emergency has to wait because someone didn't know when NOT to call 911. GEEZ.
hahahha Please people, take a lesson from this!! I just wish we could actual say this to people lol Seriously though, it is truely sad how some people abuse the system and waste valuable resources.
@rmryder88 some people think cuz they pay your salery they seen that they havea right to abuse you. im a volunter firefighter and i seen some rude people
Oh I know it. Im a paramedic, and have worked in EMS for a private ambulance co for about 4 years now. Im also a full-tim.e firefighter/medic now too. I find these videos funny, because this is really the stuff you see. Working in private EMS I especially like the nursing home video lol, thats what we deal with ALL the time.
Fireman Mike, a troubled girl didn't like the wishbone with hershey kisses that I got her for christmas...does that make it acceptable to dial 911? True story...she called Trooper ANGER from the Michigan State Police Stephenson Post on CHRISTMAS DAY to report her 911 emergency!! Is that OK to dial 911? Yup, it really happened...Christmas 2009! My mom has this video on her myspace page because of it. Under the name "Witchella". Check it out. Thanks Fireman Mike for your 911 update info!!
I think I've done literally every call he talks about. It's sort of a relief (in a sad way) that this is not isolated to Toronto. The stupidity gene is world wide. LOVE this video.
Terrific. Been there and done all this with calls.

That pretty much sums it up, although you forgot to mention getting shampoo in your eyes is not a reason to call 911.
