You do not need a license to own a full auto. The person transferring the weapon must have a class III, but not the person receiving it.

For instance, Joe blow off the street can buy a full auto if he has the money, passes a background check, has his sheriff sign off he is not a criminal, and pays a 200 dollar tax stamp to the ATF (ass tard fucks)

the M4 is an assault rifle and the M4 carbine is called a carbine because its slightly less powerful and a tiny bit more compact than the normal M4, its also slightly lighter, the original intent was for more CQB than the M4 or M16, of course they now have smg's for that job.

You are COMPLETELY wrong, sorry man. The real military M4 is different from a civilian M4gery because it is capable of automatic fire. Carbine refers to the length of the barrel and gas system not the power of the weapon. An M4 has a 14.5" barrel and a flash hider. Most civilian versions have the flash hider permanently attached to obtain a legal non-NFA 16" barrel length and do not fire full auto or three round burst. You are so far off base it's not even funny.

Wrong. The word carbine does not refer at all to the caliber of the weapon system. Carbine refers to the barrel length. A rifle could be chambered in .308 and still be a carbine.
