  • lol wow i just found out my kitten is actually a main coon and i thought it was kind of weird how she would always make those little chirping noises, since none of my other cats have done it t hat often. now i know that its common in main coons :) its super cute though

  • Now I miss my baby Summer again... Love your MicMac videos. <3

  • I found a cat exactly like that he's super friendly

  • I love the head (camera) butts!

  • That is the most amazing cat and so adorable

  • My maine coon is home while I'm at school and I miss him every day. He has truly been the best thing in my life. I will always have a maine coon, they have the greatest ability to light up the day. This cat sounds exactly like him. Thank you

  • I had a cat that looked almost identical to this one. He lived for 18 years and was the sweetest, best pet I ever had. He was also very healthy and active until the last few days of his life. Thanks for sharing. I felt like I was looking at my cat.

  • awww what a sweetheart! :)

  • This reminds me of my maine coon Sassafras... The meow is the same too the only difference is mine has white paws

  • i love cats man.

one moment they are indifferent and the "well i think its time, HUMAN, come forth, now pet me. Pet me I said."

  • Look at that face!

  • my maine coon is sleeping on my shoulder as im typing this... :)

  • He's really adorable! I must admit I really do love this breed, my Maine Coon is 7 years old and he's a spitting image of your cat. Sorry to hear you lost him.

  • My Maine Coon died just recently; past few months, no idea why. She went from playful and happy to "gone" randomly. Sad thing but honestly this is the best cat breed ever.

  • i love Maine coons

  • LOOOL at when it walks up to teh camera, very talkative one aye mreauh mreauh mreauh mreauh.

  • What a dear fellow!

  • His purring and little noises are a delight!!!

  • Had to say goodbye to my baby today - 20 year long friendship and I miss her more than words :'( She was just a regular b&w moggie, but thanks to this vid of your old friend it helps to remind me of better times with mine :')

  • Cuuuuuute!!!! That is love.

  • What a beautiful kitty!!! I love the Maine Coon meow/purr. Coons talk to their owners a lot;-)

  • It would be nice to cuddle with Micmac on a cold winter night..

  • When did he died ?

  • My baby died almost 2 years ago. His tree gave me apples this year. I think of himevery day.

  • @jzathey sorry to hear about that , it was a beautiful cat. What was the reason of death?

  • @born2own He had a rare, fast growing cancer on his back legs. The vet said even God couldn't have saved him...

  • I have a Maine Coon mixed with a Domestic Shorthair--he is a real doll. This cat reminds me of him.

  • Even watching this cat through the screen is helping.

  • omgogmogmgomgg

  • Gotta feed them the best food you can like Blue Cat Food.None of that 9 Lives stuff. All cats deserve the best.My vet said that half & half and or coffee cream is an excellent calorie source. Our MC would anounce himself when he entered the room. You know, they have class.Miss him dearly.Carry around his hair snips with me every day in a tiny zip lock bag.No lie.He was "that" special.

  • This is an excellent example of a great breed and a great and caring owner. The guy is bonkers with happness.Super vid, thanks.

  • My maine coon candy is watching your kitty lolol

  • very gorgeous cat XD

  • animals take the bad energy out of us to make us feel better but it makes them age more and harms them when we are not good on energy. that is why they can stay so positive! ha, he is so cute. animals are psychic energy siphoners when they love u a lot. they will always take otu the bad energy.

  • i have maine coon, it's the best breed i have ever had. i love this cat. its personality is just amazing.

  • are those micropaedia ready reference, britannica books???!!!!! I want those books!!!!! i have the rest of the colection

  • He looks and acts like my Tiger (=^.^=) Thinking of you MicMac

  • omg, your cat looks exactly like my mane coon that recently passed :( same pattern, same meow... and we have the same encyclopedia set! lol

  • be carefull when a cat rolls on it's back. thats a perfect opportunity for them to use four claws, instead of just two claws.

  • you're so right! Lovely cat!

  • he wants some scratches!

  • I love the wimpy little voice that Maine Coons have. They are like the Mike Tyson of kitties. Big tough kitty with high pitched voice.

  • i could watch this over and over again :)) he was soo beautiful and special. reminds me a lot of my cat. they even have similar names :) i was so sad to hear that he passed away. luckily there are so many of his videos so he will keep making people who watch him happy and will never be forgot

  • Absoultely beautifull. The chirp and the purr are so theraputic!

  • My cat is a Maine Coon too, he's old : more than 15 years old. He meows the same as yours ! This is so funny ! x)

  • I have a Maine Coon who is exactly like that

  • Your cat wants you to stroke it - and you're staring at it with a camera.

  • What a great cat, I just lost my 16 year old Maine Coon Cat to cancer 5 days after birthday.

She was a gorgeous Blue Torbie and my best friend for 15 1/2 years.

Like Micmac she was a gentle playful soul and we spent hour playing together.

She like to roll over and play dead kitty and then I would rub belly and she'd jump up and run off the run back. I'd like another Maine Coon but my grumpy other cat wouldn't tolerate it, she was always 2nd to Samantha and now deserves to be top cat.

  • I love your videos and so does my maine coon Caddy!

  • Aww... I used to have a Maine Coon named Alison that chatted like that. I really miss her.

  • One person on here was heartless. How could you dislike that face!!!

  • For big cats they have the cutest meow and Prrrrruutt. Soooo cute!

  • i might have some video somewhere of my mainecoon Bunga-will post when i find

  • when he was alive, did you ever just rub his belly till his and your heart's content?

  • "you're just trying to make me feel better aren't you, *sweet meow I swear sounds like Yes* followed by a purr. This cat adores you.

  • This reminds me so much of a Maine Coon a friend had, even the meow is the same. Any advice for someone who wants to get this breed in the future?

  • I will always have a MC in my life. I love this breed, even the mixed, non purebreds, like MM. Get one, love him brush him and enjoy every moment of his life.

  • @jzathey I thought Micmac was a purebred. What other breed is he mixed with?

  • MM was a stray, found at 6 months of age, posters put up, ads, no one claimed him (thank god). He has all the traits of a MC but he was a smaller guy, despite looking big on the videos.

  • Love this! He's so talkative..hahaa! What a ham ;)

  • Your cat is amazing! He made my day! :) Thank you for sharing!

  • she's barking !!! :D!

  • Somebody wants their dinner.... :D

  • What a ham??? He's precious! All the qualities of a great Maine Coon.

  • What a gorgeous baby! Awwww! I love his chirping. Just like our Maine Coon Squeakers, although he's muuuuch more loud, especially when he wants attention.

And MicMac is such an adorable name.

  • My Maine coon Samewal came running into the room thinking ther was a kitty here!!

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW fluffy and does that funny chirp noise like mine xD

  • How do I be sure that I have a Maine Coon cat?

I have a fluffy cat with 'M' marking on its head but it's nowhere near as fluffy as your MicMac. >_<

  • OMG, I love your cat!

  • What a beautiful cat! I am saddened to hear that heaven recalled their angel. You gave him a wonderful life. Thanks for posting as he reminds me of my Wookie who I lost last July. There is something so special out MC's.

  • What a beautiful cat! I am saddened to hear that heaven recalled their angel. You gave him a wonderful life. Thanks for posting

  • Nagyon szép cica és okos is!!! Kedves!!!!

  • I have a Main Coon mix breed name Bailey, and she talks a Its so cute.

  • is the cat high lol

  • Love you MicMac <3 :) RIP

  • sorry "4 ever" of course :-)

  • bigmc is the most beautiful tomcat worldwide. and yes yes yes "micmac 3 ever!" great! hugs and bugs

  • you should have named him Chatty LOL U should c this vid of my dogs if u like dogs & cats

  • you should have named him Chatty LOL

  • I love to wath Micmac <3

  • Oh, he's gorgeous! I love his rolling around. I have a female that I adopted from the SPCA who I think has a lot of Maine Coon -- she's almost all white, (long haired, of course, with similar ruff and face) and talks like this. One question -- do you groom Mickey's rear end much? Does he fight with you?

  • MM loved to be groomed. He was pretty amazing about grooming himself, and Asa would also groom him often. And no, he never fought, even in play.

  • @jzathey Oh, so sorry - it seems you're speaking of MM in the past tense. What a sweet gift to have had for awhile. He sounds like he was absolutely wonderful--

  • @momominnosh does your cat have a distinctive ' M ' tattooed on her forehead because that usually is the sign she's a Maine Coon. I don't know if that works for mix breeds though.

  • Wow your MC sounds just like mine, he makes all of these growls, purrs and chirps at me. He's also a head butter. Such wonderful cats.

  • I just love maine coons. My shrek does the same thing as Micmac. It seems as if he loves chatting with people. Whenever you talk to him he responds every time :)

  • One person dislike, because it doesn't have a Maine coon.

  • I have a maine coon named Max, had him for about 11 years now. I can't sleep without Max getting as close to me as possible and crawling under the covers with me. Definitely a good cat for keeping you warm in the winter.

  • the woman talking sounds like Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) :)

  • That Cat is awesome! Must have allot to do with the lady behind the camera. thanks for sharing your beautiful cat.

  • The chirps are soooooo cute!

  • He's a handsome boy <3

  • I lost my baby over 1 year ago now but watching this video makes me realise it still hurts the same as the day he passed away. I miss my baby more every day, although I have 2 dogs the hole just cannot be filled. My dogs went crazy over the noises. My baby made the same trill noise and every morning he would wake me up shouting maaam from the bottom of the stairs. I want another Maine but I know I won't ever replace him.

  • OMG! He is just like our Little Girl! (that's her name). Never had a Coon before, but ours does the SAME thing! The flip onto the floor...hahaha! It's true...pure lovin's.

'Cept our Little Girl is quite scratchy. We're learning her, though.

    Great vid!

  • i loved watching this video, it put me in a good mood. Cats usually do. My Maine Coon is on a little holiday and I miss her!

  • Micmac is a purrfect example of why my wife and I love the Maine Coon breed so very much. Big, fluffy, soft, and so very conversational. :)

  • He's so vocal!!! Adorable! Must hold some conversations with you - silly ones! I just wanna' hug him! LOve his purrs!

  • I had Toulouse, a Maine Coon mix for 6 years before she died of liver/kidney failure. She was such a talker and I miss that so much. This video brought back really good memories. Thank you for sharing.

  • I am completely in love with Micmac. I watch him all the time and it warms my heart.

  • "Forever Micmac" is the name of the book I'm writing of his life. He will always live forever in our hearts. I miss his soooo much.

  • what a beautiful cat :)

  • cats ARE the best therapy.

  • OMG! This is so sweet! I love Maine Coons!

    How adorable is MicMac!

Is he Canadian by any chance?:)) I am a MicMac too:)

Thank you so much, jzathey and to StuartStreet for sharing!

  • Yes, we're from Canada. I found Micmac in Mississauga, Ontario 12 years ago & moved to Nova Scotia with him & my menagerie. Ironically, my property backs onto 750 acres of protected parkland that was used by the Micmac Indians. He is buried outside my library/office window since dying last fall, on the land that he loved so dearly. I miss him so very, very much.

  • @jzathey

I am so sorry for your loss jzathey. I feel the heartache,,,, believe me!

I lost "Snoopy", last June/09 She would have been 25 in Sept./09

I just love Maine Coons. They are,, Simply Special!

    Your videos are truly amazing!

    Thank you for sharing.

  • @jzathey Sorry to hear about MicMac, may he rest in peace... :(

  • @jzathey That made me sad. My cat, zubby is my best friend and I want him to live until I die. And he will go with concerts with me and meow as I hit a climax and I want to spend my whole life with him. I will treasure every moment with him as long as I live. And I hope we grow old together. I love my cat so much. He's with me now and I keep hugging my pillow pet. I'm so sorry for your loss it just opened my eyes about life. And I can't lose my best friend

  • I don't know of any medical predispositions that the Maine coon has. I've always read that they are the hardiest, healthiest cats.

  • I got two new babies recently, they keep my big boy well and truly busy - I call them my buffalo's - the noise they make when pounding around the house is just wonderful. I am insane about my Maine Coon's and would pretty much loose it. I think you should get a new baby!

  • I'm working on it. I may find one here in CA if the cost of airfare is not too high. I've been travelling & will be away for 6 months, so it's not an ideal time. But gosh, you are so correct. I love your descriptions, by the way...

  • this cat is sosososo GORGEOUS!

  • This is the coolest cat ever. I love talkative cats.

  • aww! adooorable kitty!!!

  • Fat cat! No, he's wool fat)) Good kitty. I love maine coons! =)

  • MicMac is a giant furball! :-)

  • He is so beautiful and reminds me of my maine coon Tre' Cool. I had two maine coons but my female, named Una Bonita, was stolen. It breaks my heart to not see them both together. They both have blue gray fur. Tre' is very chatty and affectionate. Maine Coons are the best cats. Large, furry, and lovable!

  • So cool...full of personality! I would really love to know what MM was thinking, the vocalisation was so "firm" as if he had a strong opinion about something:):)

My fren's coolest most affectionate & intelligent cat Mac ran away when they moved house. I cat sat for them occasionally. I was there the night they found him in the bushes next to McDonalds (hence the name). He wasn't mine but I still cry when I think of Mac 7 years down the road.

  • gorgeous cats. looks like a little lion!

  • Micmac is an amazing cat! :)

  • cutexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • My beloved Maine Coon Oliver made it to 20, what a cat! There wasn't a dog in the neighborhood that would come near him except for one beagle that just wanted to play. Ollie would chase him out of the yard, and he would come right back. I miss him every day.

  • @EHS53 Hey Thanks for giving him such a long and Happy Life. What did you feed him? now go out and rescue one from the Pound!

  • Nothing out of the ordinary, just 9-Lives and a lot of love. And he paid it back tenfold. Seeing the MicMac videos brings back a lot of happy memories.

  • Oh gosh I just fell in love with MicMac! How adorable. Two of my 3 fuzzy cats came over and were watching him on my computer screen too. All that talking : ) Balthasar even crawled in my lap so I got to cuddle him up (he has either Maine Coon or Norwegian Forest Cat in him) because I just love snuggling a fluffy kitty and MicMac fits that description to a T! I am so sorry about your loss. I put my orange Ruffella down last Thursday and I am still crying about it. Hugs.

  • How remarkablr that you can discuss this. I fell apart for months.

  • If I talk to real people face to face you see the tears. I had her for just short of 10 years. She had cancer- surgery to remove the lumps. Last week she started having trouble breathing and being able to sleep. She was clearly starting to suffer and I could not stand it. She had a spoiled house kitty life. She is out of pain now and being cuddled by my great nephew in heaven.

  • Thank you for sharing. I still cannot talk about my dog Shane, and he's been gone for 12 years. MM & Dar belong in that category, remarkable beings that will never be forgotten, always loved deeply.

  • @jzathey Hi, i love your vids of MM. i think im going to get a Maine Coon soon?

My last cat "Snowy" who had 4 litters with a total of 17 kittens died on 2nd Jan 2006 age 17.

couldnt get another so soon after she died. only really been now that i could think about another cat.

    RIP MM x

  • Thank you David. I concur - I still cannot watch any of my vids & don't believe I'm ready for another MC although I ache to have a kitten in the house. Kittens take away all the superficiality of the world with their silliness. My neighbour, who has 5 cats, is deliberating whether to give me his 2.5 yr MC, a chirping character like MM.

  • Thank you. He has enchanted & broken the heart of hundreds. I am writing a book of his life.

  • Almost made me watch this vid. I'm still suffering from his death. Please watch more of MM.

  • That is 1 funny cat it keeps meowing at the beginning

  • In this video, you asked Micmac, "You have never had a bad day in your life, have you?" After watching this video for the millionth time, and tearing up after seeing the way this boy of yours just naturally came up and tried to comfort you (as he probably did countless numbers of times not captured on video), I ask you, how was it possible for any owner of a cat like this to have a bad day? Micmac could teach humanity a lesson or two about friendship. Merry Xmas, Ms. Zathey!!

  • (Sob!) I began crying reading your comment. Yes, I have had a wonderful life, mostly thanks to the remarkable animals who have shared my life, MM sitting at the top of the list. I miss my animals very much, present and past. I look forward to seeing them soon - I hear Gerdie has fallen totally in love with my pet sitter Gary. Fickle female!

Have a wonderful holiday and thank you so much for continuing to think of us. You & so many others are keeping MM alive forever.

  • I'm very sorry to hear that your friend has passed away. My cat "Nightmare" passed away on the 22nd of last month. He was the best friend I've ever had and I don't think I will ever be whole again without him. He was half maine coon. Anyways, just wanted to tell you that your cat is gorgeous and thank you for sharing the video. Happy holidays...

  • Thank you so much for your touching comment. I'm so sorry to hear about Nightmare. I had discovered long ago that I indeed never do recover from the loss of very special animals who have shared my life. I simply go on with a silent handicap which never goes away, but is sufficiently anaesthetized when I discover other wonderful animals who want to be with me & share my heart.

  • How old is he?

  • MM is 12. He just died. His illness & all the joys & pains are portrayed on my channel, if you care to fall totallyl in love with his forever life. I guarantee you that even if you cry, you will smile forever if you see Micmac's other videos.

  • I read about his passing on another video. I left a comment and yes I've been watching all of his videos, some over and over! :) He is adorable!!! RIP MM.

  • I'm in a warm clime, house & pet sitting, and my last "animal mom" client insists I see their maine coon shelters. So I may end up bringing one home from 4,000 miles away. Gosh, I'm going to have to give him lots of love to make up for the cold weather. I miss my own babbies - had to get away but feel like a prosthetic without my animal family.

  • I have been researching maine coons over the last few days as i have been thinking of getting one. I was so sad to see you lost lovely MM as I loved his videos!

  • I want a kitty like that!!!

  • I like that - her "employees". So true...

  • Chewed!!!

  • Micmac was never a great eater. I give my cats dry food, preferring Fromm's (their expensive wet food is unpalatable to the cats, for some reason. I make them meat, chicken, beef, baked squash, coconut oil, raw egg yolk, organic cheese if I can find it 1/2 price. I wish I knew of a superior cat food, but the best is also extremely expensive, like the raw rabbit frozen food with veggies, etc.

  • hehehee.... he's like "stop holding the camera and pet me!!!!!"

  • Ms. Zathey, was Micmac a lap cat? It looks like he was just dying for you to sit down so he could climb aboard and preen himself!!! What a wonderful friend to have around the house on cold, rainy days!!

  • Actually, no, Micmac was not a lap cat. When younger, he loved to be held like a baby, held upside down, tossed over your shoulder, curled in your arms as you blew strawberries into his tummy. He would just purr & purr no matter what you did to him. In later years, he preferred to remain on the floor doing his dances & sommersaults. In hindsight, I'm beginning to see how there seemed to be some tenderness in his hind legs that eventually led to his cancer. How & why, I'll never know.

  • JZathey,

You were asking the other day if you had any videos of MM doing somersaults. THIS IS IT! "Maine Coon Psychotherapy." His purrs, his chirrs, guaranteed to bring a smile to any sad face! 5/5 stars!

  • Thank you! Ha ha! Many of you seem to know my videos better than I do! I suppose because my mind is flooded with non-video memories which I will write down over the next few months. They are coming in droves & I'm smiling, remembering.

    Please call me Jane.

  • Jane, This has always been my favorite session with Micmac the psychotherapist! When I need to put things in perspective I visit here...Thank the universe we get to live with these wonderful beings.

  • Yes, I think this is my favorite too. I still cannot watch any MM videos. I carry my tears in an invisible teacup, always threatening to spill or overflow. I need a little maine coon kitten to lick them up & dry my cheeks.

  • Hihihihihi! Your Maine Coon's a chubby lil' fella. I don't know what it is about Maine Coons, but they sure have hearty appetites. My Coon can be served five meals in a day, but I'll bet he snitches a bit of food here and there from our next door neighbors.

  • Micmac was only 12 lbs, actually. But so full of hair that he looked fat. When he had a bath, he'd be a skinny little thing.

  • My family had a Maine Coon cat that looked just like your lovely cat. He also acted much like yours. He brought so much joy and love as your cat seems to do.

  • I have a Maine Coon named Griffin. he's about 11 months old, and he has Feline Respiratory disease. but he's the sweetest thing<3 I was sick once, so he went through the house and brought me a bow off of a christmas present. when I cry, he panics and just keeps meowing at me. when he meets someone new, he sits in front of them and stares them in the eyes, then chirps at them. he takes care of the kitten I rescued, babysitting him when I'm not around xD I love my kitty.

  • I hope Griffin recovers fully. NHV has a herbal upper respiratory supplement to boost the immune system. I always prefer to use natural remedies, although realize the benefits of pharmaceuticals when necessary. Grains cause mucous, so giving him a high quality grain free food will help a lot (i.e. Felidae). Expensive, but they eat much less of it. Also, bifido bacteria probiotic strengthens the immune system so it doesn't recur.

  • That cat is a Love. Have to laugh everytime he dives onto the floor.

  • i had a beautiful maine coon cat, her name was nikkidoddles, had her for 12yrs, before she was passed, she was always there, knew when you were sad, crying, and was always there to meet me at the door when i came home, come up to you to make you feel better, in the end i started to call her mother hen , cause of the other cats that ventured in and out of the house through out the yrs, i miss her darely, and no other will take her place, they are totaly amazing

  • Thank you for sharing your touching story. I will never understand why they are with us for such a short period of time, and yet they live forever in our hearts.

  • 67nikkidoddles26: Amazing! They're intelligent. I just became got so attached to the neighborhood cat, because unlike most typical kitties, talking to him is almost like talking to someone. He actually responds back.

  • How can anyone be unhappy when a big fuzzy Maine Coon starts flopping around on the floor right in front of you?

I love Micmac, he reminds me so much of my Tiger when he was younger.

  • I hope Tiger continues to be silly & floppy! Micmac is 12 & shows no signs of "growing up".

  • It is all right untill He asks you to lay down on the couch and asks you to tell him about your chiledhood, or starts to smoke a cigar. Quite Fruden!!! He can already sit in a chair, what next thikeing notes. He is a great cat, keep making videos of him. He would problely be a great thaperry cat

  • What a great cat....

  • Seriously........ too much. It's literally our kitty's twin.

  • A wonderful, whimsical cat!

  • Headbutt to the camera feels so good!
