America, once the reigning king of hardcore triple X adult entertainment has recently been eclipsed by the rapidly growing Chinese porn industry alongside nearly every other competitive industry.
As America shrinks into its 3rd world depression, brought by widespread political corruption and corporate greed, China takes the global stage as the single fastest-growing economy in the world.
Compared to the US unemployment rate of 21.9%, China proudly boasts its jobless rate is -1%, the lowest ever!
Lexus 330! This morning while driving to work down the Tai Po Highway cut in front of a Lexus, realising my mistake, I waited for them to come alongside- I was going to appologise, they came, cut in front of me and put their brakes on making me skid a little, then repeated this a few times before roaring off. Unhappy I opened up the 528, caught them with ease. The driver then cut in front of a lorry almost causing it to jack knife. I resumed the chase to enquire as to what was going on...
@jushayward ...On arriving alongside, I was accosted by three things: it was a woman; she was filming me; she had a Western (young man) passenger with her. I decided to just give it up as 'one of those things'.
Road works between Pui O and Mui Wo... Hah! There's always road works there. Same place, every year. How many times can they dig up the same bit of road?
Starts looking like the FDR/East Side Drive in Manhattan... ends up looking like way up in North Jersey with the winding hills going left and right as you go up and down the hill.
That left and right on the "permits only" road is enough to make any novice seasick...
@tranquility922 The cops were having a busy day. They were also busting cars on the bridges and had another block just before the Lantau toll booths at 3:05
This is strictly speaking not a time-lapse video? It is more like a sped-up version of a video shot at regular speed. Whatever it is, it is well done.
@paulhallert Wait, so you're accusing someone of calling you a nutjob, yet at the same time your context applies that your calling that same person "a practicer of the black arts"? Where do you get the idea he's doing some evil magic??? O_o
nice video! pls keep posting. BTW...the whole video looked very smooth without stopping, are there any traffic lights for the whole route? or did i miss out
@1m2wgood There is just one light at Tung Chung (after the highway section), and there were 2 temporary construction lights, one in Pui O and the other between Pui O and Mui Wo. If you look closely, I jumped the red light in Pui O at 5:32.
1- we live in a vortex of time; u r not as in control as u would like2think. 2- the universe of time is a very small existence, perhaps among many and L.O. has instinctively tried to go2the trouble of sharing a concept of that with us. 27- This may be the only existence that has time. 75- There may actually be intersections of non-temporal existences and sentience somehow connected and/or interacting with us "timers". 82- time might not only be relative, but also unnoticably variable. 235-
@LantauOnline what are you talking about, Lannie. You asked for three reasons. I was simply implying there to be hundreds of them. but then, apparently you are too amateurish to notice. and incidentally, from your cliquish little remark I take it we are to assume you to be sane. It appears your infatuation with your time lapse devise is nothing more than a child playing with toys in an impoverished environment. You should save terms like "trippy" to describe that privileged commute.
@adrianroam95 (in response2ur question) oh, it's no biggie, adrian. I just made a nice comment on his vid and the ass hole called me insane. it's the kind of cookie-cutter response I get from practicers of the black arts. so then, I had2deal with it. that's all.
Coconido - if you can give me three good reasons as to why anyone would be remotely interested in watching an hour long journey in real-time, I'll consider it.
Maybe could do some specific parts, but why the whole thing?
@LantauOnline Hello. 1. At the 46''inch TV Screen in HD this movie looks as if I was there. 2. I watched everything again, and I agree that the normal speed in all the time is too long, the city proposes to normal speed, out of town 200 or 400 km / h. At 800 km / h, I can not see the beauty of the environment, those high-rises, too fast for me. 3.Maybe the solution will be 200 km / h for the entire movie. I like that one region, and this is very subjective, I could watch hours of movies from H-K
love the video man

Hong Kong has such an interesting dynamic of mountains and man-made cliffs (skyscrapers). Such a unique situation.

Luckily you weren't speeding at the Western tunnel. Those sneaky cops.
Please post more, esp of Tung Chung. I miss driving that route. Lots of memories.
