  • Karen people a lot of China Yunnam what are they call Karen name in their .I hear somebody said they call Yi.Now Karen separate around the world .Like myamar u.s.a canada england thailand japan norway

  • Hmmm, they may be Tujia, not Yi. However, if they are Miao but sing in Yi, then it must means they are influenced by Yi. Remember, Hmong used to be slaves to the Black Yi. Ua Mab Suav Qes. This explains why the Ahmao of Southwest China sing like the Yi.

  • Yeah I think they are Tujia.

  • It seems like the Yi.

  • i dont think they are miao...more like Yi(Mab)

  • Seem like they're singing in Mandarin or some kinds of Chinese dialects. They also seem very sinicized due to their style of singing.

  • are they even hmong people?

  • Yes. The title says this is a Miao folk song in Chongqing (Sichuan). They are singing in Mandarin with Sichuan dialect.
