screensavers don't give you viruses unless you're downloading them from a sketchy site or torrent or warez site. And then its usually only because some dick re-packed the .exe and included a virus. Scan all zip, rar and exe files with a virus scanner before executing them.
No it is not a virus, you are full of it. I had it once and ain't got no virus.
