I absolutely adore this story - brilliant script, villains and cast, especially Catherin Schell. When I went to Paris two years ago I kept thinking about this one. Excellently made trailer, which does justice to a fabulous story
I know not everyone will agree with me but the Douglas Adams period 1978-1979 was the most fun period to watch Doctor Who. It had great writing, imagination and witty humour all rolled into one package.
a very good trailer-Thanks for uploading..im gonna watch all these episode of "city of death" cos i aint seen it!!(tom baker was and still is the best doctor ever)
This story got the highest ratings in Doctor Who history with over 14 million viewers. For more useless Doctor Who trivia contact the saddest person on the planet i.e. yours truly
ah these aliens are so technologically advanced. "telephone directory" ha! i love doctor who since i hid behind sofa as a kid but i catch myself thinkin (in a moment of imaginative half sleep), if only bbc programme designers had a real time machine, they could stop doctor who from becoming so very dated after such a short length of time. this clip gets 5 stars from me cos it made me laugh. do i need a better reason?
I'm sorry. PLEASE DON'T READ THIS you will die in seven days if you don't post this comment on 10 videos in the next hour. if you do, tomorrow will be the best day of your life
That is so superbly edited people should pay you to make them! Best one of these I've seen - though, to be fair, it's excellent material to work with.
Several of these Dr Who 'Next Time' trailers that I've seen on YouTube are all wrong: Clashing background music; too much talk; not enough montage of images; too many boring images. With this trailer you've shown them exactly how it should be done.
Within a total of one minute after watching this, I've loaded 'Doctor Who : City of Death' on BBC Shop. Honestly, its that good (the trailer I mean - and the story, but I haven't seen it, so I'm gonna have to take your word for it at the mo)
I wouldn't call it the 'best episode ever' but it was certainly the best story of that season. And a really good video.

Is the jaggeroth an allegorous analogy of the reptilian Illuminati theory - aliens long-term plan to rule the World?

Other way around actually, dalek sec in dalek-human form looks like the alien. But I was thinking that to!

Cool selection of clips, but I think you need to turn down the background music slightly - it's a bit too loud! :-)

Julian Glover is fantastic in the City of Death. And then he becomes a bit tetchy with all that one eye stuff!!
'I am Scaroff last of the Jaguroff!!!' Excellent!

ahhh kk. how did ya get the clips onto ur computer coz its on a vid not a dvd lol
DaleksFearMe 5 years ago
DaleksFearMe, it was released in the UK at the time of making this. I know that Who DVDs take a long time before they are released in the US.
It's perfectly possible, copy the tape to DVD using a DVD recorder and then, using a DVD ripper and some editing software, rip the DVD in your PC :)
