Yeah, but because the orca whales are smarter than great whites, they can be friendly like in Free Willy and can also figure out what is and isn't food. Because we don't swim in waters populated by orca, they don't believe we are prey. This is why it tips the shark upside down to kill it, a trait that it learned from killing other white sharks. GWS are not as smart and "taste" with their teeth, they have to bite us to figure out if we are prey are not.
but what orcas do is that they put the shark upside down and then they grab the shark until it dies. Another video talked about an orca and a shark, and the people said there was no blood... so they don't fatlly wound the shark, orcas just wait for the shark to die. Orca's are the number one hunters of the sea...they don't just kill their prey...sometimes they beat it to death. Ever seen what they do to seals before they kill it? They play catch with it and jump on it and smack it with their tails...pretty interesting stuff...and gettign seals off hunks of ice...they are so damned smart.

I'll never forget the night this video came out as a big story on CBS news. Tourists on a sea-watching cruise witnessed a great white shark(up to 21ft) feasting on baby seals. Then, were horrified when it was locked in battle with a killer whale, & was slaughtered. Killer Whales are smarter and faster than great whites. Full grown killer whales are common where as full grown great whites aren't. Most great whites are around the 10-15 foot length.
I saw a similar killer whale attack on a great white on TV about 10 years ago. I have it on VHS. On the show I watched, the killer whale rammed the shark several times so hard that part of the body of the shark cleared the surface of the water and this was a very large great white. The largest great white is no match for the average adult killer whale.

Killer whales dont attack humans, and they are the only species with brains equal to the size of humans. 1.) There's been only one as in (1) documented encounter like this between a SUB-ADULT great white shark and a FULLY GROWN ocra (s).
2.) What was the condition of the GW shark? nobody knows it could've been sick and most likely very distracted by all the activity.

Because we don't swim in waters populated by orca, they don't believe we are prey. This is why it tips the shark upside down to kill it, a trait that it learned from killing other white sharks. GWS are not as smart and "taste" with their teeth, they have to bite us to figure out if we are prey are not.

but what orcas do is that they put the shark upside down and then they grab the shark until it dies. Another video talked about an orca and a shark, and the people said there was no blood... so they don't fatlly wound the shark, orcas just wait for the shark to die. And also sharks defend themselves. Orcas have horrible scars of shark teeth in their body

They are smart enough to know they dont belong in captivity. Why do you think that whale decided to kill that trainer? He was sick of being someones clown. Now that trainer is 6 feet deep and probably worm meat.

@kevinyuni iff i heard correctly, that Orca down on Florida had only killed one trainer before. the other dead guy was some vagrant who climbed the fence and they found his corpse in the tank the next day. no one knows iff the Orca killed him or not.perhaps he tried to 'mind meld ' with it and simply drowned.

Whether or not Orcas habitually prey on Great Whites is still very much debated amoung scientists. The reasons and even validity of this ever happening is also still being debated.

Orca's are the number one hunters of the sea...they don't just kill their prey...sometimes they beat it to death. Ever seen what they do to seals before they kill it? They play catch with it and jump on it and smack it with their tails...pretty interesting stuff...and gettign seals off hunks of ice...they are so damned smart.

I'll never forget the night this video came out as a big story on CBS news. Tourists on a sea-watching cruise witnessed a great white shark(up to 21ft) feasting on baby seals. Then, were horrified when it was locked in battle with a killer whale, & was slaughtered. I expected a male killer whale(up to 32ft), but quickly learned it was a female(up to 19ft); she was teaching her calf how to hunt great whites. Fuckin' cool. Killer Whales are smarter and faster than great whites. Full grown killer whales are common where as full grown great whites aren't. Most great whites are around the 10-15 foot length.

I saw a similar killer whale attack on a great white on TV about 10 years ago. I have it on VHS. On the show I watched, the killer whale rammed the shark several times so hard that part of the body of the shark cleared the surface of the water and this was a very large great white. The largest great white is no match for the average adult killer whale.

anyone see the vid of the 6 or so killer whales killing the baby humback?? it was messed up.. several of the killers distracted the mother while the others 'drowned' the baby it took like 6 or more hours and all they ate was the tounge when it was done... they obviously had a plan and wasted more energy than the amount of food they got out of it.. maybe it was for territory, or maybe killer whales are the gansters of the sea..

The only time killer whales attack humans is when they are held captive, and same goes with other animals, their not meant to live like that, they attack because of frustration and that they want to be free, you will also be agressive if you were held captive from your natural habitat, its instinct for survival, unless your farther is Josef Fritzl of course

A great white shark is not dangerous to humans, they make mistakes, thinking they are sea lions. Killer whales dont attack humans, and they are the only species with brains equal to the size of humans. Killer whales are extremely intalligent, each whale in a group has a specific role to play, just like personell in the military. King of the sea(killer whales) leave king of the land(humans) along, because we leave them alone, their is a bond between us that cant be described.
