Those aren't lasers, they must have left a roll of the det cord outside the house, what you see there is the det cord burning at ~8000 m/sec, the camera is so fast you can see it, normally you can't see the det cord blow at all.

it's shock tube, which goes at 4000ft/sec. if it was detcord, the main charge would look like it went off slower than the detcord, and the camera would need to be filming at millions of frames per second to capture it

That "laser shit" is actually called shock tube. Its a small stiff plastic hose filled with a small amount of explosive. It is what is used to set off the blasting cap. The reason there is two is because all good bombs have a primary and seconday ignition so there is no single point of failure.

Clearly the two lines are HMX NONEL cords and I'll tell you why I think so. As the signal travelled across the ground,they didn't disturb the dirt at all. I've held onto a NONEL tube when it's fired so I know there's no disturbance. Furthermore, if it was det cord, they would have used a straight line of it and not coiled it on the ground like single use tube. In addition, if it were det cord, the signal wouldn't coil, it'd detonate the coil. As a powderman I was trained to use all types.

by the way, i should of looked twice before typing, i think what you can see is called safety fuse. It burns generally at 1 meter every 90 seconds and initates a detonator or blasting cap which in turn hits the det cord and finally to the primer, which is usually an emulsion based type that then hits either booters or anfo..I am Frang, Lord of thunder. i wish i had a camera better than my poonasonic digi. 1000fps be good. great video thank you onetym282. just helping audilab appreciate the art.

ha ha ha, 2 angry det cords? i use about 200 meters of the stuff at work every day, 10 grams per meter up to 18 grams per meter of high explosive in plastic sheath. Detonates at about 5000 meters a second. I have cut a car apart with it, cut concrete pipes at about 500 mm in diameter in halve, and have used it to trim tree branches but use it daily for initiaton of emulsions and ANFO. heard of a bloke who found some"red cord" in a box and thought it was line trimmer cord. didnt fit lucky for him
