once owned a 1970s cherry-red, bird's eye maple strat. It had no twang bar, not routed out.

Bought that for $450 back in about 1981. Later sold it around 1992 for $800. The shop then re-sold it for $1,600.

Don't take it personal, but this movie shows nothing. Sound quality is too bad to estimate the tone of guitar. What You play is a great load of overdrive, unpleasant to ears and telling nothing about how the guitar really sounds. Play more riffs, scales or something, and provide more CLEAN Channel (no overdrive) - it'll be better then

Untrue. There are much worse guitars than even the cheapset Squier Bullet...they're GOOD guitars from the Standard series and up, particularly the Custom Vibe series, widely regarded to outdo most mexican made fenders and compete with some lesser USA ones.Tonerider pickups in those things. Others feature Duncan Designed ones etc. they're not bad at all...but the Affinity and Bullet have crappy pickups, indeed.

They were made as vintage pickups, that's why they looks "lime" and clean tone is such a nice, distortion is worst but this is strat and have single coils no humbuckers ....

Distortion sound is CRAP!!! It could be ANY guitar at all. You kill the strat sound completely. Its TERRIBLE!!!!Im the lucky owner of 26 stratocasters. 2 are 1991 with rosewood boards. If you listen to Jimi´s LIKE A ROLLING STONE from Monterey, THATS how a typical 1991 sounds like. (when they are good). Maybe its your amp or pedals, but the sound SUCKS!!!!!

Not true. They're both Standard models. If you have a MIM it's just a MIM Standard Stratocaster. If you have an MIA it's just called a MIA Standard Stratocaster.

There's no way to tell by the model name where it was made in most cases.

Just like I have a Les Paul Standard but it's a MIJ model...
