  • Meet him at Rhyhym Records on Ave s in Brooklyn.NY . Got his autograph. At the time i never heard of him Kenny Fuchs , the owner, introduced me to him . May he rest in peace.

  • has anyone heard Huey Lewis's cover of this song. He does such a great job of it. His has that big band swing sound to it. Not to mention his great vocals. Check it out.

  • I like this r&r goody, I say that even tho I hadn't heard it up until now. The lyrics are positive & it's a somewhat different sound. It dose not remind me of Chuck Berry or even Fats Domino but more likely Nat King Cole going beyond his Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer....better still Louis Armstrong & Hello Dolly. First time for this one & it shouldn't be my last/I'll be back. Thx4 postin'

  • Wow !!!! this is Cool ;)

  • @RockabellaBeauty Thanks for faving this. Great original version

  • Ska had nothing to do with this rhythm and blues sound that was articulated, starting in the 1940's, by African American artists like Big Joe Turner, Jackie Wilson, Louis Jordan and Bobby Blue Bland.

  • ska de la

  • BEAUTIFUL AUTOMOBILE!!!

  • Scorchio !!!

  • This was Coxsone Dodds favourite tune...all ska comes from R'n B

  • Ska was hugely influenced by Roscoe Gordon, Fats Domino, and other 50's R&B greats.

  • totally brilliant, love it to bits, ska, rock and roll, r&b, its just great.

  • Now did he lend off ska music or was it the other way round?

  • This dude is from like 50 or 60 years ago. Trust me, ska lent off him.
