  • I made one sort of like it but with a 64 inch long barrel. The firing mechanism is a modified sprinkler valve and it runs on 100 psi. I calculated the average velocity of a AA battery to be about 300ft/s with a potential range of over 1000 feet. If you use chamber to barrel volume ratio of 1.6:1 then you will get much better power. You could probably add a few feet onto your barrel seeing how big your chamber is.

  • @bigholeproductions what are you using for the barrel pvc bends? and what is modified about the sprinkler valve? mine has an 80psi limit

  • @15267m My barrel is pvc, but it is reinforced with wood too so it is relatively sturdy. The sprinkler valve can be modified by drilling a hole in the top of it and threading a blow gun in there to release the air faster. Search up modified sprinkler valve and you can see what I'm talking about. Anyway, the 80 psi limit is just for the electronic solenoid in your sprinkler valve which will be sealed shut anyway if you choose to modify it. (which you should because it makes it open faster)

  • @bigholeproductions OMG AA battery has about 18 grams average weight that's like 75 joules at 300fps pretty impressive

  • @n34t43v3r I guess it's impressive. My newest creation fires C batteries at nearly the same velocity. Here's the video: /watch?v=DXlMCul0jNY

  • nice music

  • plz tell step by step instructions! i wont one!

  • @rexmad122 Just buy some pvc-pipes, glue and a bal valve. it`s simple

  • @rexmad122 Ok thanks

  • very nice. might even hit a window! lol, i might think on making one of these.

  • nice....:D
