I have a 1984 LeBaron K series 2.6L in practically mint condition. Not a thing wrong or weak with it. 97,000 very easy miles and well maintained regularly. Charcoal Gray. I have no idea what it could be worth. Anyway, I can't find the owners manual and I need to know the correct pressure amount of refrigerant for the factory air conditioner. How can I go about finding this information?
@studpuppy69 Dude, it's 2011 and I still see K cars and old minivans driving around from time to time. They don't always look pretty, but they're still out there. I honestly don't see very many 80s Toyotas or Audis rolling around anymore....just sayin'
The Chrysler Le Baron GTS, it will leave you as it has left me, as it left her. marooned for all eternity in the center of a dead planet, buried alive...buried alive...
As for CrudeDude's comments; I've had both V8 Mopar muscle from the sixties and FWD from the 80's and loved them both. I think for the very limited resources Chrysler had at that time they did a commendable job. All the Daytona Turbos I had were great cars and I have an "84 TurboZ still today. My 87 ShelbyZ went over 250,000 mi. without any engine, tranny or drivetrain problems ever. You seem to have the same narror minded opinion I used to hear at Mopar shows I'd go to in the past
BTW.. When I sold the car. when he went to test drive it.. He put the top down. had the AC on and could believe that the car was so cheap. had a perfect body and interior. I think it had everythig that I could of got on it new..
Yes I bought 84 convertable New. When it hit 80K miles I couldn't keep it on the road.. Transmission went out.. Then the Turbo. Alternator, I placed a for sale on it for$700 for get it out of my driveway,, sold within 30 mins. New owner loved it.. Im still a Diehard MOPAR fan.
Wrong-wheel drive MoPar garbage. This car was the beginning of the end for Chrysler Corp, who 20 years earlier, built some of the best, and fastest, cars in America. Ask any State Trooper.
No Bench seats were installed in any 80's Chrysler Convertible, Dodge either. All convertibles came with bucket seats. Now maybe the hardtops did. But the Convertibles were all so fun!
I remember Ricardo Montalban more for his participation in Chrysler ads than anything else he did in Hollywood, he gave the Chrysler vehicles he announced an image of elegance and sofistication, he will truly be missed. RIP Ricardo Montalban
