I got a question. My gold game, its working perfectly, but every time I save on it, if I leave it off without touching it for like 30 minutes, it delets any file I made. How can I fix it?
the gold and silver games are notorious for having bad battery lives. Your batter inside the game is dead. If you really want to play it, you can go to the store and get a new one.. just use a screwdriver to get the case off.
@FirestarCat Mine does that now, only it loses the save file immediately after turning off. The cartridge battery is dead. Replace it and sauter(sp?) or tape/glue the crap out of it to make sure it doesn't come loose if you drop the cartridge or something.
@FirestarCat There is a battery inside the game cartridge. Back then, there was not enough power for the game cartridge to hold games forever so they used a battery so you would be able to hold a save game. by the way your describing it, that battery is probably dead. There are special screwdrivers that you can purchase off of ebay and other auction sites to open the casing without destroying it. so once you replace the battery in it, it then it should be fine. If other solutions don't work.

i had that happen to me before try to save like 2 or 3 times in a row. that might work if not it probably cant be fixed.
