@Finq08 It seems to me like your knowledge on motorsports in general is very limited, and only limited to American motorsports. You should watch the speed channel and indulge in more sophisticated (and yes, faster) forms of racing. One good example on just how much faster 4wd is - is the Escudo Pikes Peak run. Yeah, its the unlimited class, but it does prove the point that 4wd is the faster form of racing.

I dont doubt at all that 4WD is WAY faster in rally. But it simply isnt if you're driving on an asphalt race track.

Or, if you think it is, why's every touring car for example RWD? Only because they dont have 1200bhp , because that much power would be faster? That makes no sense.

@Finq08 AWD can be faster or slower, it all depends on the class of racing and what the rules permit. Time Attack for example is filled with road going AWD vehicles. Look up the Cyber Evo which holds the top record at many famous racetracks; it is AWD. Really it all comes down to how much tuning has been done to the vehicle. There are many fast RWD Time Attack cars as well, it just depends on how the vehicle is set up and what it will be used for. There are even competitive FWD cars out there.

To me, the credit goes to the team behind the conception of this monster, and to the pilot for beeing able to handle that monster (even though i'm still on my race appettite... too much footage, not enough racing)... But no credit for the brand on the car... take any production car as a base, and put about a million dollars in engineering, considering you have specs that rules you, and in the end, you will pretty much have the same car, whether it's an Audi, a Toyota or a Kia.

yes, its a production Ford SVT F-150 Raptor. a pre-runner truck made for the street. comes with the stock 5.4L V8 you find in a regular F-150 which only has 320hp and 380ft. lbs. or torque. later in 2010, the truck will recieve the new 6.2L Boss V8 which is supposed to have over 400hp.

I feel ya on that one. Though Hyundai is making its name, i.e. Millen's World Record Run at Pikes Peak in a Genesis, a car that has only been out for a few month's. They are coming up, just like Mitsubishi, Subaru, Honda and Toyota did at one point. And as for the Honda or Hyundai question, I WOULD pick a Honda just as I'm sure you would. No particular reason for it, just more favorable to me.

About ferrari, during the 60's ford tried to buy ferrari, enzo declined and mr. ford got angry, so he told the engineers to build him a supercar, so the gt40 was born and won le mans multiple times over the ferraris, i love telling that to ferrari fans they stop arguing after that.

Hyundai and Kia are the same company. In Korea, Hyundai is known as the luxury/upscale division while Kia is known more for their affordable high volume cars. I believe they're trying to change their image in the US to make that distinction more clear.
