Freefletcher once said before he became famous for his first alter ego name, MF Doom... That he was only in the game for the money to food on the table. After he got it... He changed his name many many times because he liked staying underground. THE INFAMOUS MF DOOM SUPERVILLAIN HAS FOOLED ONCE AGAIN! Forever... DOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the sample is from the jingle to the "shawscope" logo. most famously used these days by Quentin Tarantino in the opening for Kill Bill and Deathproof. i don't know why i remembered that. anyway, very appropriate for the rhymes about kung-fu flicks in this tune. oh yea.
Even funnier is that they were calling Talib Kwali "white boy music"...goes to show you the average persons knowledge of music goes no farther than the top 40 pop or hip-hop/R&B songs... sigh... I think Tool said it best: " Some say we'll see Armageddon soon... certainly hope we will"

@sidvicious09 people say you shouldn't bring that name up around a track as dope as this.. but i think its just a reminder of how shitty mainstream is and how fucking raw this is!
The tune is Funky Fanfare by Keith Mansfield. Tarantino used it on the soundtrack of the movie Deathproof and Arzachel (actually Uriel) did an excellent prog rock cover of it called Queens St. Gang - way back in the seventies. Look 'em up on YT. Peace.
Finally some rap that doesn't have to rely on how much money, women, and fame someone has, it's about reminiscing the simple days of childhood and enjoying the nostalgia that comes with that. LOVE THIS TRACK!!!! we need more intelligent rap/hip hop nowadays, it used to be a mouthpiece for the disenfranchised and alienated, now sad to say hip hop/ rap is a joke, a corporate puppet praising the status quo, and ignorance.
Look. I'm sorry. I really do think DOOM is great. I've just been a little confused about things lately. I keep having dreams of Gucci Mane fucking me in the ass while he pushes my head into a bucket of lemonade. The weird thing is I wake up with the biggest smile on my face.
