Beautiful Sound. Incredible vocal mastery and overall amazing artist. At this level however, she must be able to also master diction. It is a part of a complete performance. To a native speaker, the text does not fully connect the sound to the meaning because of it. I love Battles singing however, her sound is almost always flawless.
For perfect diction on Obradors "Cabello Mas Sutil..." view Alfredo Kraus or Placido Domingo. You will see what I mean if you listen carefully. She begins perfectly... "Del Cabello mas sutil..." The first trace of her "Americanized" diction is the word QUE She pronounces KEI not KE... and so on. CADEINA instead of CADENA... I didn't say it was not comprehensible. I said it was not perfect. I think these are minor points overall, she is a great singer.

I do speak fluently Spanish, French and Italian and her diction is fully comprehensible. I don't see your point.

You're wrong, sorry. She did not pronounce "kei" but que-e (the e is longer) and Cade-ena (same as in que, for musical reasons only)
I'm spanish and know my language perfectly both spoken and sung.
