I have to say that this album lacks 95% of it's energy it needs, mostly because of the sounds and the boredom of it's songs, just like this one! and I just cannot catch up with the atmosphere of this album and i find it fucking empty. salomons gates and nocturnal evil are the real deal in this album for me, the rest of it just sucks.

This is not like Dimmu Borgir or Cradle of Filth; a different class and character. This is not new. This band has been around since 88'-89'. They are from Finland; the tune down low/doom bass resonance; is friggin' straight forward and not histrionics. This is plain and simple Blackened Death Metal; basically 2 guys-Nuclear Holocaust Vengeance and Bestial Sodomizer.

Carpathian forest's album that was concidered cult, "Strange Old Brew" is great, and so is "Black Shining Leather"...their most recent one is one of my favs too "Fuck You All" but they stray a bit from beherit xD...they are more like Gorgoroth.

Nattefrost, basically anything from him, but hes not working on his solo stuff anymore, he rejoined Carpathian Forest. His album "Blood and Vomit" has a cover of Beherit's Gate of Nanna, so thats my fav of his. but anything of his is good.

I started out with thrash, then when i heard black metal for the first time i pissed my pants. I was only 10 when i first heard it and i was pretty scared, maybe because of the way some of them sing and this song is still very very creepy to me. Thrash 1st Death Metal 2nd and Black Metal 3rd, then comes some other metal genre.

still, venom doesnt follow the same strict guidelines of Black metal, if you notice the chord chart in venom's music, it follows thrashy riffs, rather when you look at Darkthrone's music, it follows bm riffs, thats why venom isnt bm, but dont get me wrong, I LOVE venom...they just arent bm ;B

Hammerheart was a hard album to start liking but once you found the right song(Baptised in Fire and Ice) it was amazingly epic. Mayhem was about 1986 with Pure Fucking Armaggedon. Bathory came out with a whole album by 1985 so the founders of Black Metal is Bathory. If you have heard the debut album the song Necromancy sounds exactly like War from Burzum and Curse the Gods by Destruction.

Burzum member(only a one band man) is gay, but his music is actually good. Me, i like black metal thats fast, like closer to death metal but yet its still black metal. Early black metal has some of the worst recording qualities but i still love it.

I prefer stuff relating to Gorgoroth, Marduk, Carpathian Forest, and the like...but stuff like Mayhem and Beherit is good every once in a while...and BM had bad recording qualities, coz most BM guys recording were poor, and it was in a time and place that had bad recording equpitment...I mean in norway in the 80's they didnt rlly have any good recording equiptment, but I still like alot of the early bands, just not all their stuff.
