goes back to memories .even though i wasn't born but my mom showed me dis song and this took me back to the memory were this song revolved around . lov it !!
wow shows how young i am!!! lol I thought one of my favorite artists THE FOREIGN EXCHANGE did this first! LOL SMH sorry Stevie... I'm a musician and should know better!!!
@drummervah : Don't feel bad! I bet ALOT of people though +FE did it first but, alas, it goes to show ya to do your MUSICAL HOMEWORK! I already knew the "Wonder" did it first; my Dad had the Jungle Fever OST when it first came out, so for me to see another group pay homage was AWESOME, especially after 17 years of its initial release! :-)

This brings back memories! I remember when I was 8, my oldest brother came home with the tape of the "Jungle Fever" soundtrack. He just bought it from the record store at the mall. I started playing it and instantly fell in love with this song as well as many other cuts on the soundtrack. I'm 27 and still love this song. It's a very underrated soundtrack. Kimberly Brewer, baby girl can sing. I wish music was like this now, instead it's so one-sided. Stevie is one of the true geniuses in music.
This is one of the VERY rare occurences where I actually prefer the cover over the original. Foreign Exchange just added a new demension of soul to this cut. This one is still really good but I think FE really took it and ran with it.
HER NAME IS KIMBERLY BREWER WHO IS SING THIS CLASSIC STEVIE WONDER TUNE. SHE HAS A VERY BEAUTIFUL VOICE. THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG ON THE JUNGLE FEVER TRACK. FOREIGN EXCHANGE DID JUSTICE WITH THEIR REMAKE. THAT IS SELDOM DONE WITH REMAKES.
Something about her voice is reminiscent of Syreeta. This song, though sad is a tour de force. I miss this more daring and experimental kind of Stevie--a bit of a throwback to the '70s Stevie--especially with Cecil and Margouleff. Still, Stevie remains a wonderful artist.
Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I first heard this song as an 8 year old. It was my favorite. The melody was so captivating and hypnotic. Now at 25, I overstand the subject matter being in love and heartbroken. Incredible song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This song gives me good bumps because I love the melody... I wonder when Stevie wrote this song because it sounds like it could have been on Talking Book circa '72 and I love that era the best.
What Mc9man said! You took the words right out of mouth! This does take me back to a 92 when me and my girlfriend where on and off and we called it quits, but still had feelings for each other! What a crazy summer! Peace to all the commentors and thanks for posting! By the way ain't it refreshing to hear real music? Peace!
I really love this song......I always tend to gravitate towards songs that take me to moods and situations that have occured in my life!!!! I have definitely went through what this song is talking about!!!!
wow this reminds me of an old flame.. we would let this CD play thru tha hot summer nightz n Northern Cali .. luv ved this song 4 real! thank u for posting it it dont think i smile this much any more!
stevie is such a beast...i remember when this album came out..i bought it for my mom on her b-day and she loved it..this was one of my favorite joints
i knew about the music of stevie 4 a long time but it was not until i heard this album that i started searching 4 more than just his hits because most of his album songs are better than the singles and this song right here proves that what i just said is true...thank u 4 posting this
My mother and I used to go the ice cream shop every night after dinner, bumping this soundtrack in the mighty Camry wagon, summer 1991.
