Hmmmm?...... the white van built in 1991 by the DoD...very interesting ? I remember being shipped out to Kuwait 26Dec1990...my friends and I had wondered about alternative fuel "sources" and back then and the electric cars that were available were ugly and slow -had to find and area to plug into-extension cord may had been needed as well.
Auto makers put their minds to it? How about a group of private people! Many americans would join this type of investment club. Why continue to support big oil companies (which is what the white house does.... cause they like the payoffs from the oil companies.. payoffs for sending your kids to fight to maintain control the arab oil). We the people can change the course (curse) of oil.

Do not rush installing charging units !! I think we can build an electric car that charges itself while you drive. There is a patent !!
