But what of the first martyr, +St. Stephen? It was his final prayer for his persecutors that brought God's grace onto Saul, and gave Christianity perhaps its greatest theologian - +St. Paul of Tarsus.
Hart-Celler Act in 60s (catholic-jewish alliance and against public will in what was then a protestant country) opened the u.s. South Border to the catholic community, uses taxes of protestants to bring in catholics, harbor illegal by church, and meantime Jesuits creators of "liberation theology" had indoctrinated many coming at rate of 10,000 per day, to hate "anglos" (read: protestants. People are being killed on AZ border. Persecution is now. Foxe by chap III discuss/ prot martyrs.
@westchesterny Many of the illegals crossing the border end up in Protestant churches. The border was opened to provide cheap labor and to strain our welfare state. You are correct about the Jebbies creating liberation theology in Central America, and promoting Marxism. Remember, Cali and the SW were predominately Catholic thanks to the Spanish who settled there first.
@combatjm89 you're just trying to justify the catholic position. Fine, but you cannot say all this while obscuring the intensive collaboration of the catholics in this "immigration" process. Too much has been reputably published about the Jesuits, in particular, their relation to the pope and their creation of Liberation Theology. Are the Jesuits Jews? Is the Pope a Jew? "Cheap Labor" as an argument about immigration has been exposed as a farce, americans do not have jobs.
@westchesterny Read my post again about the Jesuits. I'm well aware of their deviation from Catholic doctrine. And I've been in Central America, the home of liberation theology, and in combat there too. And what do Jews have to do with this? Are you an anti-Semite or something? Just asking...
@combatjm89 So, pope deviates from doctrine?--- he's had relationship with jesuits for 500 years. Many people argue that the "catholics" (large, incoherent group, really) have been "infiltrated" by these "jesuits" who are secretly jews. So catholics do bad things, in this conception, since they are infiltrated by "jews," (jesuits), --- all this would be someone else's "anti-semitism" ---not mine. Thought you were one who makes that argument about how "infiltrated" thee "true" church is.
I was blessed by this to see how so many faithful Christians were persecuted and martyred for their faith in Christ Jesus. Everything Jesus said would happen did and is. As followers of Christ we should expect that one day we may be called to martyrdom. To die for the glory of GOD....what a blessing! The HOLY SPIRIT will give us what to say in that hour.
Excellent reading! I found it so hard to read this book, which was so terribly raw in places regarding the horrible suffering of the persecuted! It was hard to turn the page!
I think for someone like me, who gets terribly emotional, listening to it would have been easier! I intend to listen to the chapters already recorded!
Thank you, for posting this! So many are unaware of this masterpiece!
Matthew 22:20 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Martyrdom for abiding in the love and truth of Christ should be every Christian's desire. There is a special crown for that, which means ruling with Christ in the millenial Kingdom.
