If you watch the previous videos, it is very clear that the reality of actually doing the trip on those little POS's was overwhelming in the time they'd alloted. So it became about just getting the trip over with. By Chicago, even Josh had had enough and bailed.

But kudos to Pete for continuing the trip to the end, even if he was just going through the motions. They must have both said, "Well this sure SEEMED like a good idea when we thought it up..."

There was no time allocated, I talked with the guys. I am pretty sure they both think it is still a good idea. But you are doing a good job at trying to find fault.

Finding fault? If the premise had been, "Let's ride two mopeds across the country and see if we make it," then mission accomplished...sort of. But THEY said it was about the journey. Only their "journey" consisted of very little adventure and a lot of shots of them on the highway. A+ for concept, C- for execution.

Plus, they absolutely set a "sort of" timetable - that's only human. It was not open-ended. But they VERY CLEARLY got to a point where they just said, "Fuck it, this is too much of a hassle, let's just get done with it." And even at that, Josh didn't hang.

It was all about the "journey." If it were about the destination we would've taken motorcycles and released only one video. If you look closely, you'll see that I have a pretty big beard at the end of the trip....that's 3 months long.
