I'm not sure if you will read this or not, and this is not something people will normally realize they can do. If you catch animals you can always throw them back out, if you throw a ration/food sometimes enemies will eat them and be distracted, if you capture animals live, you can also throw them at your enemies, imagine letting go venomous snakes nearby your enemies, or even better throwing one directly into their face. Also be careful, interrogation and execution were the same button in PS2.
