From outset - I am NOT a fan of Sting - can't deny his talent, I just find him annoying on anything after Zenyatta. It's a personal thing and I just simply prefer not to expose myself to annoying people (Bono would be another one).
But, this is just fantastic - Frisell and Hank are playing wonderfully here, and Fareed ain't no slouch himself. A great ensemble piece and an example of why the Night Music show was a real treasure.

Just came back from the Sting concert that took place in Kyiv. It was amazing... I'm at a loss for words. He is a fantastic singer. The concert started at 7-20 pm and was finished at 10-20pm.
i just listened to Jose feliciano doing the same song and he has soul .....on some songs you need American soul....not English!!!!! English soul won't cut it....
sting can smoke all the weed he wants until his face is green...buy he'll never beat bill withers...this song is not about "sounding" good .....it is about "feeling it" and sting doesn't have what it takes....i know he is a master of his music ...no argument there...but not on this one...
Yeah, you can't top Bill Withers, but this is late '80s greatness. Wish my parents had been cool enough to listen....then again they would have had to catch the original concert on TV the one time it probably played...
If you guys love Bill Withers as much as I do come check out my cover of "Ain't No Sunshine", I grew up listening to Bill thanks to my parents and I absolutely love his music. I hope I did him justice but I will let you guys decide. If you enjoy it thumbs this up so someone else can check it out.
