This product is the most unreliable technology I ever purchased. All I wanted was to connect my iPad to the Nikon D90 in direct mode. The card transmits pics when it feels like it.sometimes they show up on iPad and most times who knows where pics are. I tried 4 times with fresh reinstall and the same crapy result.I investigated online only to learn that there 100s of other people complaining about same issue.I am shocked that a company would allow such product to be released to the market place.
@hutdockz Yes you can. Set the card to Selective Transfer mode and only the photos you mark using the lock/protect feature on your camera will be transferred.
@liorEfraim Eye-Fi uses the same Wi-Fi encryption that your computer and wi-fi router uses. So if you are on a WEP, WPA or WPA2 encrypted network, the chances of someone "stealing" your photos are very low, whether you are using an Eye-Fi card or not.
The new Mobile X2 is the most advanced and exciting thing to happen to SD cards. This is going to have all the fans of Eye-Fi lining up to get there hands on the Mobile X2 card. wifi nfusion .com
This is pretty huge. If/when it actually works it pretty much makes large cards obsolete. 8GB seems like it'd be enough for most occasions, I'm wondering if the camera pushes the phtotos/video to another device or if you have to initiate the transfer. Cause it'd be sick if it just streamed everything and used the 8GB onboard as a buffer. Another huge bonus would be mirroring the camera viewfinder on a tablet.
@MUSKLR The software for the Eye-Fi card and the iOS and Android apps are available. Please contact us at support at eye.fi if you are still having issues.

how do you prevent someone from "stealing" the images from the card if he is in the range of the eye-fi?
