  • Marvelous! thank you for sharing... where did you get the sheet music?

  • I am a violinist myself and I cannot find this piece anywhere online for downloading or purchasing. Can you please tell me where you got it from? And you play beautifully.

  • I also have to say I love how you threw the french horn "duh duh duh" bit in!

  • Obviously an octave lower on the first verse. But beautifully played! "Erbarme Dich Mein Gott" by Bach. Check that out! Great job! Salutes and bows. Excellent playing of one of my favorite melodies!

  • thumbs up for the star wars timeline poster?? :D

  • Great performance!

  • Hey, this is beautiful! I've always wanted to play it. Do you happen to have music for it?

  • Amazing! Where were you able to find the sheet music for this? I've been looking everywhere!

  • I love this peice. If only i could find it for viola

  • @hitokirivader Cool i will be posting my first video of this today hopefully!

  • WOW!!!! that was awesome, I play the viola. I have been playing for five years now and i really want to learn this song. and were you using the A, D, and G, strings in third position??

  • @violadude97 Thanks! Yeah I mostly alternate between first and third positions on G, D, and A (I use E too but only to repeat the same melody an octave higher), though I do very briefly shift to fourth (at 0:17) and second (at 0:49) for a few notes at a time. The fingerings I used were mostly what happened to feel most comfortable to me, so don't feel like you have to copy exactly how I did it. I'd love to hear this performed on a viola; it's a beautiful and vastly underrated instrument. :)

  • 'a rather silly movie' dude a comedy masterpieve.

  • Hot and talented. Thank you very much for the posting. Truth be told, I was looking for just the song, you were the bonus. Keep playing!

  • you should do canon its really pretty ohh and goood playing!!

  • genialll!!! lo bordas.

me gusta muchiiisimo, es una melodia especial que oyes una y otra vez despues de ver la pelicula. Felicidades por tocarlo asi :)

  • i <3 this songgggggg

  • Excellent! simply gorgeous!

  • help I download the music for this piece for my daughter (well actually for my daughter to play for ME), however, it appears to be the piano score. I cannot seem to find the violin score. Do you have the music, or did you transpose what you needed from the piano score? PS you play this VERY WELL: poopoo to ravekitty.

  • @MatteoBanelli I didn't; my parents bought it for me when I got big enough for a full-size violin, about fifteen years ago. They bought it from Robert Cauer (a luthier in LA) for about $2K I think.

  • Great! also nice posters!

  • BRAVISSIMO!!!!!!!!!!VERY GOOD!!!!

  • CAN U PLEEZ TELL ME WHERE 2 GET THE MUSIC FOR THIS

  • can u tell me where did u find the sheet of this?

  • Excellent rendition! We tend to have the same tastes in music as well. Keep up the good work!

  • You need to put some more emotion into your playing, you have the notes... But not the mindset to really play this with the emotion it calls for

  • i can tell u play well .but i don't feel it from ur playing.try it again after u have had a pint or so

  • Yeah, awesome song. Great playing. They definitely contrasted the silliness of the movie with some fantastic music

What kind of violin do you have?

    Great job

  • @Jamyute21 Thanks! :)

My violin's an 1814 John Baptist Schweitzer reproduction (which means it was likely built sometime in the late 1800's). I got it from Robert Cauer, a luthier here in Los Angeles, when I was a kid; I've had it for most of my life now.
