I HAVE THIS AND HP ARE ASSHOLES ABOUT MY WARRANTY...I FEEL LIKE SUING THEM ...and y do they have hard to understand indians working there 24/7 but i love my laptop...i just wish i didnt have to replace the adapter every year
i have dis laptop, and it has been repaired 3 times!! all this for da GPU and da bad cooling, and now is weer but da microphone is dead i dont know why! i hope dat this hp be like a cat! 7 lives or more!
The darn thing shutdown because of heat 55+ times during its lifespan! Then it partially burned the GPU TWICE(had to get it replaced), then it burned the motherboard twice, the wifi card 4 times, and even the hard drive once! Very, very defective.

DO NOT GET THIS LAPTOP
You know I have this one and it's on it's last legs, It sold at $1200 and I just bought a new macbook, With the 3 yr warranty and MS office, and 4gb ram and 250gb drive. I spent $1500, by comparison it's not that expensive and it won't die after a year or so.

I iad this laptop, and believe me it totally sucks. There are so many complaints about this model out there you can't even count. all of them have same issue where the motherboard blows out because of a faulty nvidia chip soon after warranty expires. my recommendation: STAY AWAY from HP
this laptop is the worst hp has made yet..its VERY slow, poor battery life (u'll be lucky to get 30 min out of it), it runs super hot (if u put a bottle of water next to it, the water gets hot), the touch screen is shit, the fan is very loud, the wireless sucks, its very fragile, and the list goes on..
sold mines after 2 weeks of using it..oh yeah, its a good attention grabber, but sadly thats all u get for your money.
@HybrdShdw mine died after 11 months and they changed with a TX2532LA without additional money. This already has 1 year and 8 months and is still alive....I recommended you that version. And is much more improved than 1000

Another difference is that the tx1000 series used the touch screen for input. The tx2000 uses an active digitizer as well as the touchscreen. You should find that the stylus on your tx2000 is a bit more accurate than that of your friend's tx1350
true it is a very cool laptop as we may say, but... it is not the best tablet or laptop or pc. from my recomindation it is ok, not good not perfect not bad but ok.
i want that pc now! it has GREAT specifications + the tablet & touchscreen... it is the best for games & works it is the best laptop ever made! i really want it but im short of money ='(

The TX1000 is the largest shit which HP ever built!
I hatte only problems! Gpu? becomes much too hot by the bad cooling!
I bought the Acer Aspire 1420P-233G25n and run it perfectly :-)

It is well-known by now that this series starts to die after 1 year.

DO NOT BUY!
1)The CD drive died 2 months in, i had it replaced & now it is starting to die again.
2)It runs hot, burn your fkn skin hot
3)The quickplay program loads for no reason.
4) the shortcut button for the quickplay program is on the edge of the screen so if u use it in tablet mode u constantly hit it by mistake.
5)Vista runs slow & HP dont provide XP drivers so a fast stable os is not an option.
6)the fan is loud and constant, even when the computer is idle.
