@7h1nk Me too! This song was practically on repeat in my player while snowboarding in the Alps. THAT was orders of magnitude better than just tingling, but it always brings me back. Snowboarding on full speed while the mountains in the far background make it seem you hardly move at all, but the trails of snow in the air after you says otherwise (and imagine that to this song!).

The chorus in this song simply overwhelms me. You can hear about 4 different melodies imposed upon each other: the melody from 0:06-0:16, guitar riffs, another synthesized melody, plus the backing-up vocalist sings to a different melody than Robert Stjarnstroem. And would you guess what - it all blends in exceptionally well. It makes the song have a very rich, deep, epic sound to it. As I said, I find it hard not to be overwhelmed.

It's to bad Overworld turned out to be such a...change. I dunno. Feels like they tried to sound like all the other scandinavian metal bands. I think that's sad because I always thought their music was very colorful, and now it just seems as if it turned grey and "heavy".

They have cut down on the synth parts and put more focus on the guitars and drums. I like that but there are so many other bands that do that...few bands make songs like Through the Looking Glass

I was thinking of Redeemer, and a lot of songs that were released on their site before they had released any albums.

I like a lot of songs on Deus Ex Machinae, but I somewhat agree with you. Except I think Overworld was too...mainstream or something. It just sounded like a typical metal album...and I just think MaSu is much more than another skandinavian metal band...it's just the details I think. In all there are some great songs but there's just something that's different to the overall feel.

It feels like you're the only MaSu fan beside me who thinks this way. Overworld was the same as everything else, Redeemer was something very special. And Deus ex machinae and website releases! Those were the times. I still think Attack music and Soundtrack to the rebellion are their best songs. If they ever release a new album I hope it will be like the good old stuff.

Some of the Retail ones are better. It's about half and half, I'd say. The only ones that I think are just dramatically better than the Retail versions are this (for the bridge) and Reanimator, for the echo. A lot of others do benefit from the extra mixing though. =P
