Way Bandy was the first real makeup superstar. The early days of film had the Westmore's who did the makeup of big stars, but Way Bandy was the first makeup artist to become a celebrity. I recall reading how he soaked his vegetables in a sink of water with a tablespoon of bleach and then would rinse them to get rid of the pesticides. It's ironic that he was a health fanatic and died of AIDS, may he rest in peace. I LOVE YOU WAY BANDY !
