  • Sahir Ludhianvi, Hemant Kumar and Guru dutt, a wonderful combination.. It had to be magnificent.

My all time fav Lyricist, Singer and Director. 10/10.

  • I am sad no body recognized Sahir Ludhianvi who is the creator of this song

  • The noted composer Salil Choudhury once said if at some point of time God desires to sing he will probably choose Hemant Kumar's voice to sing. Can there be a higher complement possible for a singer ??

  • What a handsome hero and what a beautiful voice of Mr. Hamant Kumar

  • Guru bhai killer with acting, and hemant kumar with singing,. Hail Them

  • a gurudutt and hemant kumar best

  • Jaane Wo Kaise Log The Jinke Pyaar Ko Pyaar Mila..

  • Awesome, thanks dude for posting this song..

  • @TheVM2010 - You are most welcome, my friend.

  • Until gurudutt was there Calcutta was far ahead in film industry once he was gone Calcutta went down and Bombay was on the top. thank you

  • @MrVicshuklanyc - You are most welcome, my friend.

  • @MrVicshuklanyc . Guru Dutt showed Calcutta/Bengal in Pyaasa because the story was written by a Bengali person. Guru Dutt was not Bengali. Guru Dutt came to Bombay straight from the South, Kerela area I believe. He was introduced to Bombay industry by Dev Anand. Guru's wife, Geeta Dutt(Roy before marriage) was from Calcutta. Sunil Dutt was not Bengali either.

  • @RealMusicKing You read well what I said above.then coment.I never said Gurudutt was Bengali.but his work was based in Calcutta

Like K L Sahgal one of the greatest star his work was based in Calcutta Until these people were there Calcutta was on the top in Film industry.thank you

  • @RealMusicKing For your information Gurudutt sunildutt k l sahgal all were PUNJABIS.thank you

  • @MrVicshuklanyc Gurudutt was a Kannadiga by birth. Please do not fight over narrow regionalism. Gurudutt/KL Sehgal/Sunil Dutt belonged to every part of India.

  • @MrVicshuklanyc

Gurudutt was from Karnataka-Does it matter?

    Ramnath

  • @RealMusicKing why these big stars they chose Calcutta.Because india was devided in many parts .Indian film industry was based in Lahore. You know lahore went to Pakistan.and Bombay was also devided into 2 partas Bomaby and Karachi........thank you

  • @RealMusicKing Bombay after division went to Gujrat as from there 2 prominant leaders Gandhi and patel and gujrati,s were rich as they owned all the businesses .but Maharashtrians took law in there hands and demanded bombay should go to Maharashtra.so there was lot of unrest because of these reasonsCalcutta was on top.thank you

  • Definately the best piece of art by Guru Dutt. Waheeda trailed him in all his movies beginning with C.I.D except Baharein Phir Bhi Aayengi. Film C.I.D was another saga. Guru Dutt production with Dev Anand in the main role. Guru Dutt was not permitted to be on the film sets in Dev's presence. Oh yes...............Dev and Guru were good friends till around.....1952/1953. After that, they never spoke to one another.

  • Every time I hear this song, it brings tears to my eyes. This is one of the all-time greatest songs of Hindi songs of an era which we have lost forever!

  • Eternal Hemanta Mukherjee- oh God where have those flowers gone?

  • Uuffff what can I say...........I have no words for this great great song!!!

  • part 2

Left me,they all left me, after staying for a short while, after all ,who has the time to hold hold the hand of a madman? Even my shadow offers limited time ! If this is what life is, fine, I will live like this. I will never huff , lips sealed, drink my tears.WHY FEAR PAIN, I HAVE MET IT A HUNDRED TIMES

  • I am really sorry about the delay of thanking you for the translation. Please forgive me. Somehow I missed this.

Thank you very much for the pain you have taken to do this my dear friend. Many viewers will be benefited by your hard work.

    Thanks again and take care.

  • How those people are, whose love found love. When I asked for flowers, i got a garland of thorns. Searching for happiness, I got the bain of pain. Wanting songs of love, I got cold sighs. The heavy heart just got another thorn of pain. (!).

  • maan i want to see this movie.....

  • You can see this and many more if you go to "btjunkieDOTorg".

  • You are most welcome, my friend.

  • Dear yuanyuanyuanyin, I am so glad that even being from foriegn origin, you have in depth understanding of music. Well I am just devotee of Md. Rafi & I cannot imagine music without him. His songs goes deep into the heart

  • Thank you my friend for your nice comment with very kind words.

Though I am from "foreign origin", I am not that far from the place where the "WORLD'S BEST MUSIC" is originated/created, Bhārat.

    Just about 20 nautical miles!

    Thanks again and Take care.

  • This singer and music director is Hemant Kumar. There were other singers too apart from Rafi

  • The music was composed by S.D. Burman. It is all written above [right] More Information section.

    Thank you,

  • dint knew of ur foreign origin .. hoping u understand hindi !!! Oscars is just an appreciation from the eyes on some west bounds who think India is only about poverty, snakes and elephants !!!!

  • I have seen this movie [ Slumdog Millionaire]. Good "touchy" story being originally a book.

That era bout "poverty, snakes and elephants" have gone forever, my friend. Not that I am trying to flatter you but everybody knows what India is all about NOW.

Being from i friendly neighboring country and been to India many times, I have seen the difference compare to some 10 years back and all Indians should be proud of that, I sincerely believe.

    Thanks and take care.

  • Really appreciate your comments and uploaded videos ofcourse :)

  • You are most welcome, my friend. Take care.

  • could not agree more

  • why dont we get such songs nowdays !!!!! i am sure its no less good than a oscar .. thanks for posting it

Actually, I always used to ask the same question from myself [though I am a foreigner], especially in the wake of the latest Oscar Award receipt of Mr A R Rehman, the brilliant musician.
