3rd shot is not a standard rocket jump its a flick jump and i wish people would get these kinds of jumps more credit so i can understand what exactly happends when people pogo from heights to lower grounds without their gravity momentum fucking up their pogo like mine do.

( no i know he didn't pogo but it was the same kind of jump )

This was actually uploaded a year before the Mann-Conomy update (which the Rocket Jumper was added) - Infact, 3 months before Solder/Demo War update. Which leaves us with stock weapons.

And, note the fact, in some part, he takes a small bit of damage, before he does anything - which tells me he's using the "hurtme" cheat (I assume it's something like -100000), which is a double negative, so it'll heal him.

On granary you can do the jump from second to third faster by rocket-skipping over the little house.

This may seem off, but for some reason I've trained myself to rocket jump from rotating left instead of right. However, I see so many soldiers get better jumps that way. I'm assuming it makes a difference? Would you mind doing a short video on maximizing rocket jumps?

I've gotten used to doing pretty much all of the jumps in this vid by using a script (with ALOT of a practice). I agree with your views on it though (i can't 100% do a 27 hop with script, so i do it manually).

RJ scripts only limit skill really, you should delete it and get better at it or (if your planning on getting better) you will regret it.

I have tried the wall jumping alot - specifically that first jump big jump on Granary - just can't seem to do it. Are there any more detailed descriptions on this long wall jump? What is the exact button press order, timing, and point of fire? I would REALLY appreciate any help. This jump is just art - would love to do it.

you jump crouch swing shoot all virtually at the same time, keep your crosshair a little higher on the wall so you go horizontal instead of vertical, then hold crouch and the closer you can air strafe back to the pipe the better, but shoot before you stop moving on the pipe or youll do like 100 dmg to yourself and not go anywhere

@atomike2 I find that a crouchjump script makes it all so much easier. Meaning, a script that does +jump +crouch when you hit space. Then you just have to turn mouse, strafe and mash jump and fire - the last two literally at the same instant.

What's your view on scripts compared to conventional rocket-jumping? I find that some rocketjumps can't be 100% done with script (eg. the double rj at 1st point granary to get into warehouse).

i have not and never will use any scripts, scripts limit your ability to do any sort of advanced move.

You've gotta make sure the rocket hits as far away from you as you can get while it still actually splashes to you.  Takes some practice but before long it becomes one of your most valuable jumps.
