  • These guys can't threaten to leave if they don't get their money, because there is no place to go. There is no where in the world that pays money like we pay executives. Where are they going to go - France, Britain, Germany, Japan? They won't get a fraction of what they get here. There is no where for them to go.

  • Dear Tim Ryan. please get shot

  • @blackhawkwm

    Do you work for AIG?

  • @Mewstor151 No

  • @blackhawkwm

Do you hold stock in AIG?

  • @Mewstor151 Dude im only 16 hahaha. Wow...

  • @blackhawkwm

Do you like giving money to AIG millionaires?

You suggested that Tim Ryan get shot, which tells me that either you like giving all your hard earned cash to corporations, or you work for AIG. (Or you drank the kool aid from FOX).

  • Ben Benacke and Paulson needs to go.

  • Boy this guy is really forward thinking about the consequences his unconstitutional bill. Because of this bill, no investor is going to touch these toxic assets that the Obama admin is begging the private sector to help purchase from the banks. Investors dont know what congress will do if they get involved with government so many are just opting to stay away. Also everyone is resigning from AIG and many major banks .I guess Obama can get a financial czar. Bye bye freedom hello fascism

  • Ryan is the man

  • Taxation at it's best.

  • Thank god my boy from Youngstown, Ohio somone who understands how much deep shit we are in ..cus our town have real fucking problems..and we dont live in ivory white conditions..our valley is destroyed by corporate greed and a Poorly run GM factory With Poorly made cars...thats the number one downfall of our valley and our area ...understand real life problems unlike the mentally retarded Republican Rich as hell white side that know NOTHING bout working in a factory or steel mill or Tire factory

  • You think you've got problems now? Because of people like this idiot, businesses and rich people are leaving this country in droves. These people dont have to put up with this shit and they aren't going to. So this hatred towards business the Obama admin has fostered has unintended consequences that will be felt by every American. They have made recovery impossible. The people with the cash and knowledge to run industry are gone, and they aint coming back. US=S Africa, Zimbabwe

  • You mean the people who were exporting American jobs to second/third world countries and setting up tax havens overseas? The experts and intellectuals who ran their companies into the ground? They're gonna leave this country? Do you really mean it? Where are they gonna go if the world economy fails? Who are they gonna peddle their sh*t to now? They should've been driven out long before they could loot this country. Maybe they'll let you tag along jjr. They'll always need new sheep.

  • That makes you a facism cheerleader

  • No, I was against all the bailouts for this very reason. We shouldn't even be having this conversation and wouldn't be if government had just stayed out of the free market and let the failing business fail.

  • jjrglobal

You crack me up bud... so we're supposed to worry that the guys that completely destroyed our country's economy might leave it and not come back?

Oh man, sorry if I'm having a hard time finding a downside to that proposition... I say good riddance, and don't let the door hit them in the ass on the way out.

And it's not 'hatred toward business', it's guys that got rewarded for fucking up... is that concept too hard for you to understand? Ah... Republican I see. Never mind.

  • Dont call me a Republican, dork.

I think anyone that votes on legislation, or for a candidate, based on party affiliation is an idiot

So you think everyone that has been successful and rich in this country somehow made people not pay their mortgages?

What about rich people that had nothing to do with the crisis? You think we'll miss all the capital investment that is going overseas?

    You deep thinker

  • Can't go back retroactively to 2008? The IRS does it every year! Bullshit!

It really doesn't matter though, the dollar will crash and they will have millions of worthless pieces of paper... Most of our countries wealth has been taken off shore already by the banksters... We will have to revolt to get anything fixed... Talk is cheap...

  • Fuckin financial system is Going to collapse --Shti it's already collapsed --only Ratt Fucks who have jobs are LOCAL -STATE and FEDERAL employees who never get fired --fuckin Socialized Country.

  • So they just give them a bonus slightly under 100,000 dollars? WTF Just seems like another way to give the thieves money.

  • They deserve the bonuses. Union workers however make way too much though. Quite a way of thinking we have here.

  • Thats Exactly what im saying...union Bad and evil ...Bonuses with "TAX PAYERS MONEY GOOD AND DELICIOUS"

  • Where is personal accountability? Where is honesty? Where is looking out for the next guy?

Instead of let me fuck you in every orafice you have and I wont say please and I wont say thank you...so the banks have raped me right in the ass.

  • If could get let's say $400k bonus or salary, I could pay off my house. I'd be totally happy. These people are so fuckin' greedy.

  • "Acting with lightning speed, the Democratic-led House has approved a bill to slap punishing taxes on big employee bonuses from firms bailed out by taxpayers. The vote was 328-93.

The bill would levy a 90 percent tax on bonuses paid to employees with family incomes above $250,000 at companies that have received at least $5 billion in government bailout money."

TAKE THAT MOTHERFUCKERS!! FUCKING 90% !! YES! lol

  • Thanks for the info semigotbanned, had to go to cspan to check it out for myself.

This is a good start but now we need to make sure these brigands don't even do anything like that ever again. Regulations Regulations Regulations!

  • I'd feel better about it if this were punishment, but it's not.

"Oh damn, I only get 1.6 million in bonuses, the rest goes to taxes"

In the end, for every $900,000 they have to give back through taxes, we are still losing $100,000

  • It's expected that state governments will get the other 10%.

  • good job

  • Awesome Video Cenk.... "Love the sound board"

  • The bad news is your insurance is no good, the good news is the the insurance executive are unbelievably wealthy now, and congress is secretly rooting for them. At the behest of the treasury department at the behest of the Federal Reserve at the behest of the Obama Administration Chris Dodd spilled out the rich people bonuses. This is the kind of thing that makes you want to say: HMMMM!!!

  • none of the crap they are doing is going to fix anything. all they ever do is patch work that will break down again in the years to come .the people that are going to be screwed and struggle to keep their heads above water will be screwed again maybe not them but their kids will be. it is so sad

  • Do the Dodd story. He was blaming parties unknown "hand over fist" for putting the bonus clause in the bail out bill; then he finally spilled and changed his "version" when he was incontrovertably singled out. "Weak sauce"!! Somebody else did it when he was not looking at the last second when he was unable to check and recheck!

  • Truth doesn't come out of congress; they get special courses on how to create a false front. AIG is a way to divert, funnel and collect. They probably have some fail safe way to stash the cash. Insurance is the biggest scam anyway.

  • The income tax code has does not subscribe to the constituion anyway from what i understand, so take the damn money back already. Why not censure Dodd while about it? He did not make a mistake; more than likely he got some kind of bonus himself.

  • The congress basically doesn't know shit about anything-especially the bills they sign off on. It's beyond a joke at this point.

  • 100% Tax on bonuses? Can they really do that? Does this set up some bad precedent? What will this do about future executive compensation issues? And why did they allow this compensation system in the first place? Did Rep. Ryan vote on a bill that he never read?

  • Only if the bonuses comes from tax payers money.

  • Great Proposal!

  • Y.O!!! Y.O!!!!

  • Tim says if we lose the trust of the American people. Haha "if we lose the trust" wow! If!

  • We have to get to the point that pension fund managers are sticking to more conservative investing strategies so that worrying about everyone's grandparents isn't the excuse for why we need to rescue the financial sector.

  • Only idiots didnt know they where going to try to get the bonuses. So, unless Obama and co are idiots,... they knew.

I am just wondering where the next loop is. Tax year 2009 loop hole that prevents this tax bill from having effective effect? What a joke.

Deducting from the bail out sum?

What, so they just get the same money in the next package... Whats the fecking point.

  • Fuck this rep tim ryan.

I don't trust him as far as I can throw him.

So what his great plan now? Oh yeah we'll just tax these CEO's to get the money back right?!

Yeah FUCK THAT. MAKE THEM GIVE THE MONEY BACK NOW or stick their heads in a gulliotine.

Ryan is just DYING to suck geithner's balls and cover for him anyway he can.

Plus the way things REALLY work in congress in a bill is written one way and then changed right before the vote. Which I bet is EXACTLY what ryan is planning.

  • I really like your username

  • hope this taxing doesn't get out of hand

  • Is there anyone in the world that is not Sarah Palin's dickless and balless bitch?

  • Any female politician (ie Hillary). ALL MALE POLITICIANS are Palin's DICKLESS and BALLESS BITCHES and PUSSIES!

  • Rush Limbaugh is not a politician, but you said he is also dickless and balless and Sarah Palin's bitch.

  • Limbaugh and Stewart are just entertainers Relax

  • You really have issues with the "dick, balls, and pussies" thing don't you?

  • DICKS and BALLS are the FEMALE GENTALIA and the SUPERIOR GENETALIA. PUSSIES are for WUSSIES and men are WUSSIES for they have PUSSIES!

  • Palin is as stupid as you are. Stop clogging the joint up with your bullshit rehtoric........

  • Prove it...

  • I hope ur being sarcastic bc sarah palin is an idiot.

  • Come on - Geithner didn't "make a mistake" - he was criminally negligent. It was *obvious* that this would happen, and even if it wasn't, there is absolutely no rational basis for the "no strings attached" policy that he so carelessly advocated.

  • publicity stunt...

  • geitner should be fired...

  • I'm not a lawyer, but I doubt very much that it's constitutional to pass a law today that applies to yesterday.

At least I hope it is, although in this case I might make an exception.

Of course, if Cheyney and his gang were still running things (into the ground) ...

... it would still be unconstitutional, but they could not have cared less.

  • what about the lower class?

  • how is it not constitutional to retroactively tax? or even if it is why has congress been doing it since the 1930s.

  • They haven't been, and it's unconstitutional because you could tax anyone anything for anything they've ever made that way.

If they decided that they wanted to raise taxes and make some extra money, would you be sending in a check for taxes you didn't have to pay the first time around?

  • I like how no one ever reads the question and thinks about it they just react. Your answer is complete bs because its not a reason why it would be unconstitutional. What is unconstitutional are things that are prohibited by the constitution not by what is fair or not fair. If you can find in the constitution where it prohibits this then please respond and be helpful to my question, if not please keep your bs nonargument to yourself.

  • What in the fuck are you talking about?

  • In some cases, retroactive taxation has been ruled a violation of the Due Process Clause of the 5th Amendment - especially where it's been deemed unduly harsh or arbitrary. This is not always the case however, such as in U.S. vs. Carlton (1994) when the Supreme Court unanimously ruled in favor of the constitutionality of a retroactive tax in that particular situation.

  • its not retroactive, its for the 2009 tax year.

  • see response to the above, I had a real question and I did not misunderstand what was said in the interview. If you can point in the constitution where it prohibits retroactive taxes please tell me and I will concede the point. Not that the constitution means anything after the Bush administration did a Fritzl on it.

  • i will eat my own shit if we ever get back all our money.

  • Will you videotape it?

  • is tim geitner the guy for the job. LOL

  • Tax the fuck out of those bozos and give it back to the middle class where it belongs.

  • yea idk if i like this tax plan for the bonuses. Unless its 100% tax which i doubt it will be. they should just take it all back.

  • tax the FUCK out of those ass holes

  • Taxing the bonuses is a good idea

  • a 100% rate tax that is

  • No more bailouts!

  • ncie

  • nice vid

  • good one!
