@Burnerdoo Ok, I don't mean these girls aren't talented or don't know how to play, but I'm just saying it really takes away from them and makes fools out of the audience that they don't appear to really be playing the music live. I know there are plenty of beautiful girls out there that can play stringed instruments... I take no issue with that. I just disliked that they ended up having to look like they had to go through the motions instead of playing it truly live without any backing.

@jenikat Mate but what other reason do you go to watch a live performance? People want a show.

I mean, take Evanescence for example. Their live performances are HECTIC, Amy Lee is always jumping around and going crazy. This exhausts her and makes it like she can't sing live, while really she can, but she has to put on a show.

@Burnerdoo To be fair, I've never been to a HUGE show like that, and at most I've been to a show with a few thousand people, so I can imagine those bigger shows might require a bit of backing to be able to be loud enough for the crowd. Now you've got me wanting to see Evanescence, assuming they are touring again at some point. :) Maybe I have to blame the video editing because the way they made it look, the girls aren't even playing the proper notes and strokes. It could just be way off.

But yeah, I don't think Evanescence is touring anytime soon.... they said they're releasing a new album in 2010....... then postponed to late 2010....... and now no word O_o;

But ah well.... Bond would probably be a lot less popular if they were all wearing ball gowns.... then and again, the music they play matches their actions... xD
