2: Fran's accent is, if nothing else, a muddled Icelandic. In part caused by the voice actor's roots, in part caused by the distant, vaguely foreign placement they tried to give the character.

3: Cheee-rist, I HATE Vaan's voice actor. His yell is the least believable thing in the whole game.

"X-zoned" is a reference to Final Fantasy VI (Final Fantasy III on the SNES). "X-Zone" was a spell that would warp an enemy into another dimension, but had a very low success rate. However, if you cast Vanish on an enemy first, X-Zone would have a 100% hit rate, effectively ending the battle, even against bosses. It's largely assumed that it's one of FFVI/FFIII's glitches (since it was removed from the GBA version), but it's a pretty sweet trick against some of the harder, gimmicky bosses.
