Interesting. I've never heard of this beer; usually the beer sold in those 2/2.5L bottles is poorly brewed, pissy commercial pale lagers. But this one might just be the exception, hah. I'll check it out the next time I'm in Russia. Cheers!

P.S. I wonder why they didn't translate the name on the export version. All other Russian beers I've seen in NYC had their names spelled in latin...
@DenisLD thanks for subscribing man, as of why it was not translated i go to Brighton beach which is a super duper Russian neighborhood. (do you live in nyc?) I've actually found quite a few beers that have not been translated. some times i just buy them and hope they are beer ha ha ha. There are other Russian beers that are in two liters that are better than this one, they are just hard to find, they'll be in a store one week and gone the next. Have you had a number 7 or 9 before? i like those
@ilushny I've had most Baltikas, except for the 9, I think. I like the 6 a lot; the 8 is good too.
I don't live in NYC, but I know the city well enough. I've got relatives in Brooklyn, so I visit them a couple of times per year. And yeah, Brighton Beach is "something else" haha!
