  • Where I'm from (St.Pete Florida) all structure fires get 3 engines 1 truck 1 District Chief 1 Rescue (ambulance) and 1 Squad (rescue)

  • I can't figure out that numbering, "Engine 525?"

You mean they have 524 ..."other" engines?

  • @popeye1250 in waseca county, the city of waseca has been assigned numbers 501-540. they only have three engines. a while ago the county changed its numbering system but waseca city fire decided they did not want to change

  • ya im sorry but that response time for all those trucks was very bad, at our station we r in the trucks and out in 1 min.

  • pretty slow response time for paid or volley with that many people in the station. and if you have to ask to go, then no you cant

  • talk about "how slow can you go!" we would've had the damn fire out in that time! we have to be out in 30 seconds. that response of the first pumper is absolutley rediculous.

  • @fier23 55 seconds, and they were there. are you full time? i doubt a vollunteer dept can be out within 30 seconds on a regular basis

  • @farmtruck551 where i'm from volly department has 2 minutes to respond. hard for a lot of vollys . i would like to say they did ok for being at the station

  • @farmtruck551 i doubt a full time department can be out in 30 seconds.

  • what kind rig and model

  • @ht1000fire Engine 525 is a 2007 CustomFIRE Apparatus rescue/engine with a spartan gladiator cab and chassis

  • @pcfd20 the building was built in an area with mud, short trees, and gravel surrounding it. there was no good place to position the truck

  • @farmtruck551 Yeah, i noticed you answered that after i posted. I deleted my comment, but youtube don't update that on your end. Anyhow thanks for the response.

  • not bad responds time there boys

  • @kevinchajka2010 ...and girls...

  • Volunteer?

  • @bricktownfiredept 1 person on duty 24/7

  • so...who were all the wankers hanging around with radios but not jumping on the trucks?

  • @SASD209 just because there is a call doesnt mean every truck or every person needs to respond to the emergency

  • @farmtruck551 um...if it is a commercial structure fire every truck is going along with ff in pov's lol so who were all the wankers?

  • Did the tower go?

  • @farmtruck551 why the fuck would you not take a tower to a commercial building fire??

  • @farmtruck551 why the F--- would you not take a tower to a commercial building fire??

  • @ArmyRescue2 the building was built in an area with mud, short trees, and gravel surrounding it. there was no good place to position the truck

  • Wonder how far down the road until Engine 521 noticed they where running sirens with no red lights lol.

Oh and i agree those mirrors suck pretty bad, there not as great as people would think.

  • @pcfd20 if i remember they had them on once they hit the corner, so maybe 100 yards

  • thats an interesting mirror setup on 525

  • @FFcorbs they suck...

  • @farmtruck551 i bet

  • Love the cone holder!!!

  • why it is that when a fire dept gets a call people around the station have to be stoppin the engine n taken so long to get out the door most of these videos on here are like that get ya gear n just go

  • where i come from a structre fire means one ladder 2 engines and a batt chief go then the chief can call if he has to 2 more engines.

  • @gnarstyvideos219 thats great, but your not from here

  • @farmtruck551 PMSL! One of my favorite responses to a comment ever!

  • @gnarstyvideos219 Better to recall units than it is to re-dispatch units.

  • @gnarstyvideos219 Where im from ,a structure fire means 29 engines,18 engine/tankers,8 tankers,5 quick attack /urban interface/engines, 3 brush trucks/engines, 16 ALS squads,10 heavy rescue trucks,9 ladder trucks,8 quints,1 foam egine,2 hazmat trucks,2 mobile air trucks,1 technical recue truck, 7 utilitiy vehicles,1 arson/investigation truck,2 chiefs vehicles,1 fireboat,the Red Cross,2 helicopters,2 air tanker jets,4 platoons fromthe national gaurd,theGoverner and Batman,all for the 1st alarm.

  • @CyanoticFuture HAHAHA! Jesus christ, what is it with these people and their statements of "where I'm from, we do things THIS way" - as if their way was the one and only almighty way.

Oh, and where I'm from, we also send a catering service to our structure fires. BEAT THAT.

  • @MidnightPolak Well the Red Cross provides stale doughnuts, dirt coffee and cold sandwiches because the actual catering services arent dispatched until the 2nd alarm, which typically also includes a few girls from the local....night "clubs" who are working there to pay for college, provided as "entertainment" for the crews while they are in rehab or waiting for assignments.

  • @CyanoticFuture LOL that's pretty win.

  • @CyanoticFuture ROFL

  • @CyanoticFuture that must be a big station

  • @CyanoticFuture Sounds like the state of Rhode Island, five departments for a car fire,

  • @gnarstyvideos219 wow, my department doesn't even have a ladder. we have to call for mutual aid to get a ladder and there's not many where I live

  • All that for a garage? Help us all...hate to see how what gets sent to a working dwelling

  • @DetroitFires fully involved large garage fire, whats wrong with what they sent

  • @farmtruck551 Where I come from one engine and maybe a truck go to a garage fire, fully involved or not.

  • @DetroitFires well you dont come from HERE... and by your name i assume your Detriot FD, where there are hydrants in your entire district. We have to draft.. Ever heard of that? We have to send tankers to supply our water, thats why you saw so many trucks leave...

  • @farmtruck551 just for the record half of our hydrants don't work. We have drafting equipment but it never happens. Understood. Just seemed like a lot of vehicles and firemen. How many gallons are your tankers? 3000?

  • @DetroitFires 3000 and 2000

  • @DetroitFires I'm a Deputy Chief with an ISO-rated Class 1 fire department, and we run 3 Engines, 2 Trucks and 1 Rescue (along with a Battalion Chief) on ALL structure fires - I don't care if it's a garage, a warehouse or a dog house. It's better to overkill and recall units than it is to get a FF killed because you didn't dispatch enough resources. Besides, as FarmTruck551 said, they're a rural department with limited hydrants, so water, water everywhere (i.e. Tankers) is the (only) way to roll

  • @MettaFireRescue A dog house?? lol okay whatever. I understand the water situation. Our box alarm is the same as yours, minus one truck, but we don't do a box for a garage fire. And by rescue do you mean a tactical rescue squad or ambulance?

  • @DetroitFires By Rescue I mean Rescue - not an ambo.

  • @MettaFireRescue Okay, just checking. Because here we say medic when we mean ambo but the department across the road from me means medic when they say rescue. I wish we had a medic on all our structure fires but the city doesn't provide the resources to accomplish that.

  • @MettaFireRescue Well said. A department near me recently had a reported "lightning strike structure fire" which brought 3 engines (from different departments), and 2 tankers and a command vehicle. The first due engine arrived on scene with nothing showing, not even a smell of smoke. They cancelled all but one other engine and went to the attic to investigate. They found a small fire but soon realized the attic was split into 3 sections. It ran the length of the house before anyone realized...

  • @DetroitFires 3 trucks...thats not much for a structre fire, at least not where i'm from.

  • @fireman1 thank you for your help!

  • @fireman1 Don't mean to rain on your parade but where i'm from theres two trucks and three guys, and for content fires not structure because there is a difference, we usually have it out by the time the vol get there..for structure fires there is usually three dept sometimes 4 and a total of 10 trucks onscene....from various dept...its all in how your resources is, is how your approach and fight fire....

  • nice looking ford L8000

  • @asulca593 thanks, but its a Ford L9000

  • Comment removed

  • @farmtruck551 thanks for the correction...looked like either an 8 or 9

  • If you don't mind me asking, What what department is the second set of tones for? They sound right before the second red engine gets ready to head out.

  • @LifesaversofFuture North Ambulance

  • Comment removed

  • "Do we get to go??' If you have to ask that...then no. you dont.

  • i like that answer

  • @godamnit1111 she probably figured it was worth a shot to ask anyway.

  • why only two guys in the yellow engine? and why did it go to the oppisite direction?

  • its just moving so 521 can get out. yellow truck has second jaws... must stay in town

  • Nice trucks, lots of variety in that house lol. Red, yellow, white, pierce, commercial cabs, Spartan. Cool vid

  • cool, what was the second fire?

  • @sabethafiredept second fire?

  • earlier in the comments you said you went to a second fire

  • Was there a station tour going on at the time?

  • @sabethafiredept it was a drill night

  • volunteer or paid? or half an half

  • @AntiochFireman 3 paid full time and rest paid volunteer

  • Is 525 a Rosenbaur?

  • @rrobertsnot5150 no it is a customfire on a spartan chassis

  • oh ok it really looks like the new Rosenbaur heavy rescue we are getting

  • Nice lighting package on the engine

  • it sure dose look nice

  • 525 is a really nice truck!!!

  • thank you

  • love the truck is it a pumper/tanker or just a pumper

  • its a rescue pumper

  • Does Waseca have a volunteer or career fire dept.? They have very good response times.

  • we have 3 full time guys... one duty person a day

  • Thanks, keep making more videos!

  • I'm loving all of your videos! Good work!

  • thank you very much...

  • what state is this?

  • minnesota......

  • I figured it was either that or wisconsin, I could tell by the lady talking in the video, most of us have that northern mid west accent.

  • Haha I love it we have one of those old washers in our hall too, for ringing our shamees when washing the trucks.

  • hahahahaha that what we use ours for too!!!!

  • was the yellow truck just moving out of the way?

  • yes it was, it has the second jaws on it so it stayed in town for a while. then i wound up responding to the tanker fill station in it, then later to a second fire.....

  • nice do u have any videos of the ariel going to a call

  • not right now..... it rarely goes out

  • one word awsome

  • thanks!!!
